I was interested in purchasing a property with hunters however I had questions regarding the safety issues flagged during a viewing (The property had cladding similar to Grenfell) I did not receive a clear answer to my concerns and was being pressured into purchasing regardless of this. When I mentioned I was feeling put off the answer I received from Emma (manager of this branch) was “if you’re going to get upset and and not purchase then I would rather sell to a more serious candidate” I explained that she was being quite ignorant and her comment was unjustified as this is a huge investment for someone to make and not something I would go into blindly as issues like cladding greatly effect the ability to get a mortgage, home insurance, resell the property etc… She was still not understanding and continued to pass rude comments so I asked for contact details of head office to file a complaint. Emma’s customer service skills are seriously lacking and the ignorant, rude behaviour exhibited by a such a senior member of staff is appalling. I have yet to receive any type of contact details to file a complaint. Honestly I’m appalled at the lack of customer service and overall people skills shown by Emma and would advise people to search for properties elsewhere.

We are sorry you feel that way Mona However as we explained, the process that the housing association need to go through is lengthy and requires patience, we updated you regularly and chased for the information you had asked for despite the fact you had not completed your application forms and had never responded to us, over many weeks we had to chase you multiple times to ask you to check your emails and log into the portals. Unfortunately, after many weeks of not progressing and you telling us you are walking away, you found it frustrating that we agreed with you. We wish you luck in your property search.
