Selling our house of over 40 years was always going to be a wrench. Hunters has a High Street office, which we found convenient, with a very helpful team. Our agent, Janie Whitehouse is a force of nature. She had clearly made a big effort to understand the market in our road and her clients. She was assiduous and was very supportive throughout the process. We were very happy with our service from Hunters.

Despite having explained several times that I wished to be the sole tenant of the property I was in the process of viewing, Hunter insisted that my wife also be added to the tenancy agreement. I clearly explained that she was abroad on holiday with our children, that she did not have access to her emails, and that I did not believe it was necessary for her to be included on the tenancy. This requirement significantly complicated the referencing process and caused unnecessary delays. Unfortunately, rather than receiving understanding and support in resolving the situation, I felt that my explanations were met with criticism and a degree of mistrust regarding my circumstances. While I fully appreciate that internal procedures must be followed, I would have welcomed greater flexibility, better communication, and a more solution-oriented approach from the team. As a first experience with Hunter, my overall impression is therefore mixed.

Waste of time. They advertised a property on the 6th floor but hid the fact that the building has no lift.

Poor responses. Would not recommend. Went to view a property in Handsworth, was informed if cash price paid will reduce amount under table, of vendor not knowing. Poor communication would not recommend.

One of the best experiences with an estate/letting agent I've had. Myself and my partner were looking for our first flat and from the start, Hunters were so helpful. My experience with Hunters Solihull was disappointing. The service heavily favored tenants over paying landlords, suffering from poor communication and frequent staff turnover. Promised quarterly inspections were missed, allowing a leak to cause thousands of pounds in major ceiling damage. While branch manager Becky Beswick was approachable and helpful, landlords should look beyond sales pitches, demand proof of inspections, and hold staff accountable. Great for tenants, but landlords should think twice and look elsewhere.
