Good area and neighbourhood. Not happy with Persimmon Homes. So many issues with gas pipes and C02 monitors not fitted and missed sealent. Moved in to a property they developed and the doors weren't adequately trimmed to 14mm as specified and kept grinding against carpets. Called persimmon homes and Gayna advised that an handyman would attend and sort the issue. However, the handyman overstayed at another job and my door wasn't sorted. Gayna then said Persimmon Homes wouldn't be coming out to plane the doors. Despicable service. Also, unhappy with how Persimmon Homes have taken ownership over the WIFI with fibre nest. Can't even go with Sky or Virgin Media for broadband. Do not buy a persimmon home. Stay well clear.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Persimmon Homes. I was in the process of purchasing Plot 377, which was initially priced at £299,995. However, the whole experience turned out to be a nightmare, and I would strongly advise against dealing with this company. From the start, they repeatedly contacted me directly instead of my lawyer, which was incredibly unprofessional and unnecessary. They bombarded me with calls and emails, constantly harassing me for personal details about my mortgage, especially after I chose not to go with their preferred brokers. Despite my clear choice, they pressured me time and time again to change to their brokers, even suggesting that my mortgage might not go through, as mentioned by someone named Amanda. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety. To make matters worse, after weeks of delays and continuous chasing from their end, the plot was sold to someone else for £309,995, an increase in price from the original £299,995. It felt like nothing more than a blatant attempt to make a profit at my expense. Not only did they take my £750 reservation fee without any consideration, but their greed was evident in how they handled the entire situation. It’s clear to me that Persimmon Homes is only focused on making a quick sale, with no care for customer experience or integrity. In short, my experience with Persimmon Homes was nothing short of a nightmare. They were rude, unprofessional, and ultimately cost me both time and money. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-focused homebuilder. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST

There were pretty major problems with our house when we moved in. The heating wasn't working at all in the first place, and then when they finally fixed it, the thermostats were controlling the wrong floors. Also the plumbing for the washing machine was non-functional. Everything got fixed and we even received an apology for the lack of scheduling of various visits(be it from the manager, the customer care team doesn't know the word sorry). We made it known how disappointing the experience was and the site team gave us a couple of nice extras as a gesture of good will which kept us pretty happy for a while. Then the site team disappeared and various outstanding snags took forever to deal with. Some are still not fixed, and I don't think they ever will. At this point we're just so fed up that we'll probably have to let it go. But it does get much worse. The Persimmon no longer has their site team in Littleport, but they do have subcontractors working on the roads. We had LOADS of issues with those. They block access to our property and don't provide any notice, instead they just knock on the door at 7am and tell us to move the car right in that moment. They break up concrete and do other extremely noisy activities with zero notice even though we did ask multiple times(we work from home, but could just go to the office if we were notified). We've had an overflowing skip full of rubbish outside of our house for two weeks now, and despite us raising it multiple times it will stay here over the Christmas period. The skip is on what maybe will be a green area one day, but has been a site compound for quite a while now, even though when we bought the house we were told it would be gone in September. Of course things get delayed all the time, but there is just zero proactive communication about it, and we now have zero trust in what is being told to us. Still, this is not the worst. We have a paved area in front of our house which is not gated because of the public right of way, but it is under our maintenance. The subcontractor drove their machinery over that area and damaged our paving. Persimmon told us verbally it would be fixed, but we have zero written record of it even though we asked for it multiple times. They will have to fix it, because we have plenty of photos with registration plates etc so there is no denying it is their fault, but I am not looking forward to fighting this battle. The estate is now full of reduced houses ready for immediate sale. They may be a reasonably good deal, but they do come with site work outside that is not managed well if at all, and nobody knows if the green area they are supposed to overlook will ever get landscaped. From what I have seen, I have doubts. Also, keep in mind that you might move in and not be able to turn the heating on. It wasn't a massive big deal for us, because we moved in August, but I wouldn't recommend chancing it in the winter.

You hear all sorts about new builds being rubbish, but I have to say these are decent well built houses, and aftercare is exceptional.

AVOID buying here. They sell you properties with a contract to say no businesses or HMOS yet many houses are already being run as businesses with 3 already being used like hostels in the same cul de sac. Fake landlords and no security checks. Extremely worrying

DO NOT BUY a property on this estate. Persimmon fail to uphold the covenants that you are forced to agree to. HMO properties are popping up left, right and centre with unlicensed landlords and dodgy ad listings and Airbnb listings. Customer service are beyond useless and don’t seem to have any answers and take their time getting back to people, if at all. Happy to speak to Persimmon if they can be bothered to read this and reach out to me.

DON’T buy a house here. Once Persimmons sign the contract and take your money, they don’t actually care about the estate. Before completing they will get you to agree with the covenants in the deeds, yet they won’t actually uphold these. HMO’s are being run in many of the houses on one of the streets. Also Airbnb’s, you literally have no idea who is staying next door to you. Landlords aren’t doing the relevant checks, using false photos of the property and accepting cash transfers for the rent. At the moment, this seems far from a nice family estate. Do not buy, don’t give persimmons your money.

Poor build quality and the site workers have a general lack of care for the area. Stunned that people are buying from this developer when Bellway, with far better quality homes, are right next door!

We are having constant problems with kids from the local traveller site opposite this development. Having our door kicked and doorbell rung weekly. Police regularly called. Buyer beware if looking to move here.

Disappointed that customers are not informed about the issues caused by the traveller site opposite the development. Although we now have security on-site because of it, we still frequently need to call the police, and no further actions are being taken.

I am incredibly pleased with the support I received from Gordon, the customer care manager. His assistance was invaluable, and he maintained a positive attitude throughout the process. Gordon's willingness to help me navigate and resolve numerous snags made a challenging situation much more manageable. His friendly demeanor and dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out. Thank you, Gordon!
