Poor communication as landlord and required nagging multiple times until anything was done - some things still not repaired 6 months later

Hi Shannon, we're saddened to see that we have received a low star rating. Here at Leaders we work hard to provide fantastic service to all of our customers and so it's discouraging to learn that you have had a negative experience with us. We recognise the importance of providing a high level of service to our customers throughout their experience with us, we believe that if any issues arise that through the use of effective communication we are able to swiftly address these and alleviate any concerns, we regret to hear that you feel the communication from our team at Croydon has been poor. It can be noted that when dealing with repairs we are contracted by the Landlord as managing agent to act under their instruction and this means that if any issues are reported to us we relay these onto the Landlord to seek their instruction and authorisation to proceed. Having had the chance to discuss your comments with the property management team in Croydon they have informed me that there is an outstanding repair at the property in relation to the fence; unfortunately as the team have not had the Landlords authorisation to proceed with the repair they have not been able to rectify this. We will always advise our client landlords of their repairing obligations however we are not party to the tenancy agreement in place and do not have the authority to enforce works to proceed which would be in contradiction of the Landlords instruction. We acknowledge there was a repair to the worktop within the kitchen which sadly took some time to rectify, following on from the above the reason for this delay due to needing the Landlords authorisation for the repair, once we received authorisation the repair was undertaken within a reasonable timeframe. We recognise the importance of all reviews and appreciate you giving us the chance to improve moving forward by providing us with your feedback about your experience, from briefly looking into this I do not believe that we have acted incorrectly during your experience with us however would like to offer our sincere apologies that you felt the service you received fell below the high standards expected of Leaders. Beverley and her team offered me great support during the buying process which was daunting being a first time buyer. Everyone at Leaders seemed to be friendly and genuine, something that isn't common in their industry. I am now a very proud owner of my first flat! Thank you Leaders :-)

My wife and I got an amazing flat with the help of Myha and Rezah. They were really helpful and supportive in helping us find a property to rent in the right area. The flat we have has exceed our expectations and makes us feel really comfortable. We publically want to thank Leaders and especially Myha and Rezah for all of there hard work, patients and support.

I rent a pleasant flat which your company manages for the owner. Sadly, the energy supplier has been grossly incompetent, and the boiler is seriously ageing and unreliable (though hanging on). But, throughout it all, Katie Ross-Hicken in the property management department has been immensely professional, responsive and kind, and absolutely couldn't have done more to sort things out. I am most grateful, and Leaders are, I trust, very proud of her.

Expensive as compared to other high street agents at the same time very slow when it comes to work being done by property management department. It took 1.5 year to just have a blind replaced. Leak from house above, and I am waiting for more than 1 year and still no repairs. Extract fan again has not been replaced for 1 year.

Hi Pradeep, thank you for taking the time to leave us your honest feedback. It’s disappointing to hear that there have been aspects of your experience with us that you’ve been unhappy with. In respect of our fees we are a clear and transparent agent that advertise these to disclose all charges and we do try to be competitive wherever possible; due to the recent changes in government legislation our fees have changed. It’s not acceptable for repairs to be outstanding for a considerable amount of time, we accept there were some delays with the blind replacement and are sorry we weren't able to have this resolved for you sooner. It’s understandable why you would have been unhappy with the leaks from the property above and dissatisfied that the repairs needed afterwards weren’t rectified immediately, it can be noted as we did not manage the property above it meant we had no control over the works; we tried our best to facilitate a swift resolution with the Landlord of the neighbouring property they elected to go through insurance which contributed to some delays. Your property manager is aware of your request regarding the extractor fan and is attempting to communicate with your Landlord around this as they would need to receive their authorisation to have this replaced. We regret that you feel the service you received hasn’t been up to the high standards expected of us here at Leaders but hope the above helps provide some clarity.
