AVOID AVOID AVOID. WORST PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Tenant for 3 years and the property management from Leaders was appalling throughout. The emergency repairs line is effectively non-existent. If you have an urgent issue outside of normal business hours, good luck getting any meaningful support. This is potentially dangerous when genuine emergency repairs are needed. Communication has been consistently dreadful. Every member of staff I dealt with seemed impossible to contact. Emails were poorly written or unanswered, promised callbacks never happened, and issues routinely required repeated chasing. Nobody appeared to take ownership of a problem or follow it through to resolution. The Section 21 process was handled badly. There appeared to be no proper checks regarding whether we had actually vacated the property, and now, almost 90 days after moving out, we are being chased for money relating to an unspecified issue. Despite multiple requests, no clear information or evidence has been provided explaining the charge. This is all before mentioning the challenges we faced with a consistently difficult landlord. A good managing agent should help resolve issues between tenants and landlords professionally and efficiently, but throughout our tenancy we felt unsupported and left to deal with problems ourselves. After three years as tenants, this has been an extremely frustrating experience from start to finish. Poor communication, poor organisation, and a complete lack of accountability.

I have recently been appointed a new tenancy manager who I must say , has been very proactive and responsive to my emails. Lauren Nield has been helpful and informative, has provided the service that is expected , compared to my previous experience which wasn’t great due to staff leaving every few months. Hopefully the service and continuity of staff at Croydon stays stable. Also a big thank you to David Montero, Sian Orwin and Carol Wight for sorting out issues that had been going on since February this year. If it wasn’t for them, I was at the verge of leaving Leaders Croydon.

I cannot recommend Katie at the Croydon branch highly enough. From start to finish, she went above and beyond to help make my home purchase happen. She was incredibly patient, professional, and always kept communication open between myself and the seller throughout the entire process. There were several challenges along the way, but Katie remained supportive, proactive, and determined to find solutions. No matter the obstacles, she kept everyone informed, chased things when needed, and made sure the process kept moving forward. Her regular updates and reassurance made what could have been a very stressful experience much easier to manage. Thanks to Katie’s dedication, persistence, and hard work, we got there in the end. Today we picked up the keys for our flat in Croydon. Just over two weeks ago lovely Lucy Webster showed us the flat and we fell in love with the property right away. It’s been very thorough throughout my stay in the property as the communication system for leaders emails brings out very small and unclear messages. They cannot be red. So by the time you realise the important things the time has passed. Your clients who have provided the property for letting should respect the tenants knowing that they pay for the residence not for free. Respect is very vital on both sides. There should be procedures governing the tenancy agreement of the two parties. I had different property managers without my knowledge. They didn’t get in touch with me until I had to the office at times.

Very disappointing experience with Leaders. I vacated the property at the end of December and, despite my deposit being protected with TDS, I still haven’t received it. I have made multiple calls and sent emails with little to no response. Even the landlord has chased them regarding the delay. When I finally spoke to the property manager, I was told there was an internal error and the process needs to be started again, but no clear timeline was given as it is “with accounts.” This lack of communication and delay has caused unnecessary stress and financial difficulty. I would not recommend based on my experience.

Me and my mum rented a property for less than a year as the landlord is one of the most unreliable. Despite never having any issues at the property, nobody complained about us as neighbours and yet having passed all their property checks which are carried out regularly the landlord still served as a notice as she was “selling the property”. However, very absurdly and unprofessionally of the landlord she never managed to sell the property and told Leaders there’s “no rush” and we can stay longer despite serving a notice. We were left to stress to find a last minute property. As for the Leaders team, Carol, Methembe and Rezah do provide a good service overall. Leaders do offer nice properties however they need to find RELIABLE landlords because the service from this landlord was absolutely absurd and horrible. No landlord like this should be renting.

Elijah Johnson was my Leaders Negotiator and he was really helpful & fast w.r.t the process; within 15 days all my viewing, confirmation, background checks and move in dates were confirmed. He was really helpful whenever i have troubled him with the details asked. One thing which could be improved is the car parking permit which i was not given by the landlord and had to follow up with the estate community. I am really disappointed with the service of Croydon branch. Provided them all the documents and holding deposit. Everything was fine until the day they were supposed to hand over the key but on the same day they asked me to provide further documents even they knew I had given notice to my previous landlord and that day was my last day at my old property. Basically they just found an excuse to turn down the offer. Its almost two weeks now and chasing for my refund for holding deposit but yet no luck. I would not nominate one person only who gave bad services, I would say whole letting team was unprofessional and did not have enough knowledge about the property and landlord. Would not go to them in future at any cost , also have warned my family and friends about their services.
