GoogleWe honestly can’t thank Dan Mitchell enough for everything he did for us. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish and made such a huge difference throughout the whole process. As first-time buyers, there was so much we didn’t know, but Dan took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of our questions and guide us through every stage. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he was always there when we needed advice, reassurance or help getting things moving. Buying your first home can be quite overwhelming, but Dan made the whole experience so much easier and genuinely went above and beyond for us. We are incredibly grateful for all of his help and support and honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to guide us through buying our first home. Thank you so much, Dan, We would recommend you to anyone without hesitation.

GoogleI recently purchased a house through Gascoigne Halman Hale. The team knew the property in detail , gave me comparisons locally and then stayed in touch all the way through. First class and a big mention to Ruby who kept me informed at all times. Don’t tar all agents with the same brush.

GoogleWe moved into a rental property managed by this estate agent last week, and it has been the worst experience we’ve ever had with an estate agent. Before moving in, it was agreed that the property would receive a deep clean and the carpets would be professionally cleaned. When we arrived, the house was absolutely filthy. The cleaning was so bad that we found a mouldy toilet paper roll left on the floor, and the kitchen was so unhygienic it was genuinely a health hazard. It was in such a poor state that we couldn’t even unpack our belongings. We had several family members helping us move, and the entire day was a complete waste because the property simply wasn’t fit to move into. After reporting the issue, they sent the cleaning company back three days later. They were only there for around 20 minutes and cleaned very little. The property was still disgusting afterwards, leaving us to spend two full days cleaning the house ourselves just to make it liveable. That is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the carpet cleaning was never carried out. The carpets are stained with food and other marks and clearly need a professional clean. The estate agent has now refused to arrange this, telling us to sort it out ourselves or contact the landlord. The landlord has already confirmed he paid the estate agent for the cleaning, so this should never have become our responsibility. The photos speak for themselves. The lack of preparation, poor communication, and refusal to put things right have made this an incredibly disappointing experience. I would not recommend this estate agent to anyone.

GoogleOur experience with Gascoigne Halman was unfortunately very disappointing, particularly towards the end of our tenancy. Communication became increasingly difficult and, despite our efforts to resolve matters reasonably, the situation ultimately escalated to the point where we had to involve solicitors and also escalate to a formal deposit dispute with the DPS. We are pleased that the DPS subsequently awarded us our entire deposit back, bringing a lengthy and stressful process to a close. We appreciate that tenancy matters can become complicated and that there are two sides to every dispute. However, we feel this could have been handled far more clearly and professionally. Based on our experience, we would be hesitant to use Gascoigne Halman again and would urge both prospective tenants and landlords to carefully consider their experiences with the company and to keep thorough records of all correspondence and agreements.

GoogleYou’ll see that Gascoigne Halman in Holmes Chapel are flooded with positive reviews but it is important to emphasise my experience, not as a seller who employed them but as a buyer who bought a house from them. They were flawless and faultless, especially Steph. The entire team were spot on but in a process that can often feel inhumane and difficult at the best of times, it’s important to know there are some human beings in your corner and that is the best way to describe them; humans who understand this is an exciting but anxiety ridden time that is hugely unpredictable. Despite not being my estate agent, Steph was without doubt the most consistent communicator in our entire chain, when our own supposed senior sales progress or at another agent became absolutely hopeless and did not communicate whatsoever. They were also incredibly understanding and conscious of those who are neurodiverse in this process in providing consistent updates. This is something that is easy to take for granted but they managed this perfectly and made the process feel doable at a very difficult time. I did not sell with GH in Holmes Chapel but I couldn’t be happier with the experience as a buyer. They just get it. Thank you to you all!

GoogleWe couldn’t recommend the team at Gascoigne Halman Holmes Chapel highly enough. Our relationship with Steph, Abby and Sarah has spanned several years, largely because we are rather fussy! Throughout that time, they have been incredibly patient, friendly and supportive, keeping us in mind and staying in touch until the perfect property finally came along. And when it did, the service didn’t stop there. Our chain broke down twice, and on both occasions Steph and the team went above and beyond to help get everything back on track. It genuinely felt as personal to them as it was to us. While we were working through enquiries within the chain, Steph was even checking on sales further down the chain with other estate agents to make sure everything was progressing and nothing was being missed. That level of care and attention made such a difference during what could otherwise have been an incredibly stressful process. There’s helpful, there’s professional, there’s going above and beyond… and then there’s the team at Gascoigne Halman. We really cannot fault the service they provided and would recommend Steph, Abby, Sarah and the whole team without hesitation. Thank you for helping us finally find our perfect home and for being there every step of the way!

GoogleExcellent customer service from the outset. Moving house is a stressful process and the whole team at Gascoigne Halman give 100% to ensure it's as positive an experience as it can be. The team is well networked within Poynton and the surrounding areas which all helps. They have their ears to the ground which is a good thing when it comes to getting a sale done. They don't just rely on Rightmove to drive leads - they have their own little black book which is driven by their tenacity and relationship building with their customer base and network of contacts. They are proactive and keen to get the sale across the line whilst ensuring communication remains effective at all points in the sales journey. We have felt looked after during the selling and buying process and would highly recommend the team at Gascoigne Halman Poynton.

GoogleGreat from start to finish. We met with several local Estate Agents and had differing valuations. We wanted to sell our house without overvaluing it and then having to reduce the price as the sale was taking too long for our liking. Gascoigne Halman got the asking price about right. After enough viewings gave us our buyer the follow up on the whole of the chain by Gascoigne Halman was spot on. They knew more about the big picture than anyone else. The general liaison with all their staff was very good, from the initial valuation meeting through to the eventual completion of the sale.
