We bought a house through Gascoignes - Macclesfield. The Vendors (a company not an individual) were extremely difficult to deal with. Everyday from beginning to end brought its problems, however our light in this dark tunnel was Ella! Ella listened to us, negotiated all the concerns we raised, kept us informed every step of the way, even if there was nothing to tell us she rang to keep in touch. She was reassuring and realistic when necessary, and also sympathetic and empathetic just when we needed it. She is an absolute credit to Gascoignes and it was a pleasure to meet her - will miss our regular conversations but wish her well in her undoubtedly successful career. Also thanks to Matt who stepped in when Ella was on well deserved days off. Great team - thank you for making a very difficult journey as smooth as you could.

We recently both sold and bought a house with Gascoigne Halman. From start to finish they have been so helpful. When Matt came to value our old house he was so open and honest about its selling potential and then he went on to get the listing sorted over a couple of days from when we asked to sell with them. I have to say Georgia Day has been the most patient and helpful person during the whole process. It had been a long one and Georgia was dealing with both the sale and purchase side of things for us so was getting it from all angles. If I ever felt like I needed some confirmation on things that were going on or felt unsure about something Georgia would happily guide us through the process and was so patient during our negotiations. I did feel there was a few times where we lacked a bit of communication but it was hard to tell if this lay with Gascoigne or our solicitors (although we did use Gascoigne's advised solicitors DC Law.) Overall we would definitely recommend Gascoigne to seel your house.

Outstanding Service from Start to Finish! Last year we appointed Gascoigne Halman’s Macclesfield branch to sell our property. We’d sounded out several other local agents beforehand, some of whom suggested that we might achieve a somewhat inflated valuation. However Matt provided both a reality check and the reassurances that we needed regarding their ability to secure a sale. Gascoigne Halman successfully achieved an asking price offer within two months of us going on the market, although sadly this fell through when our buyers withdrew without warning or explanation after ten weeks. Having just had an offer accepted of our own on a new property we were then faced the very real prospect of having this fall through too. However, Georgia (who was managing our sale) advised us not to panic and within a week had secured us another sale! Ultimately this time we would complete despite enduring what was occasionally a painfully frustrating and stressful process due to the chain involved and radio silence from our solicitors. Thankfully we always felt that Georgia was fighting our corner and driving things along, informing us as often as possible about the progress that was being made. She absolutely earned Gascoigne Halman their fee. Although we have no intention of moving again anytime soon, we would definitely recommend using Gascoigne Halman if you’re looking to sell in the Macclesfield area. We would like to thank Matt and Georgia in Particular for achieving our sale and for looking after us every step of the way.

I recently sold my house through the Macclesfield office. Everyone there was very professional and helpful whenever I had any questions and the sale of my house went through fairly smoothly. I was buying a house in a different part of the country and it proved to be not so smooth! My contact at Gascoignes was Angela Payne who was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout all the trials and tribulations that I was going through She just seemed to say the right things at the right time to calm me down when everything seemed to be going wrong. Eventually it all turned out well. I will be forever grateful to Angela for all the help she gave me. I can't recommend Gascoigne & Halman in Macclesfield enough. To recieve an excellent service these days can be a struggle but in this case they have been tip-top!. Absolutely terrible experience with…

Absolutely terrible experience with this letting agent. After the landlord withdrew an agreed offer, we were left out of pocket and still have not had our deposit returned. Communication has been poor throughout, with constant delays and little accountability. We felt completely unsupported and ignored when trying to resolve the issue fairly. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before dealing with this agency. They tried to make us send them thousands of pounds with no contract given then last minute withdrew the offer and are refusing to give the deposit back. Absolutely dreadful agency.

Absolutely excellent from start to finish of the house sale - one local agent kept phoning to see if we 'had come to a decision to market the property' which lost them any business, whereas GH did the visit to see the place and then said they'd leave us alone and it was up to us to give it the go-ahead or not. No pestering - excellent. Once we gave them the thumbs-up we had a string of viewers within days, and eventually exceeded the guide price by a small margin which suggests the guide price was accurate too. The staff at Gascoigne Halman were always on hand and worked brilliantly, especially Georgia who made sure everyone was kept in touch with any and all news and developments as things progressed, resulting in a sale a fortnight before Christmas which was exactly what buyers and sellers wanted. I would heartily recommend this outift.
