GoogleFrom the marketing of our home, to finding the right buyers, to supporting us right the way through an often stressful sale process, wonderful Steph, lovely Abbey and Sarah were absolutely professional throughout. Steph in particular pulled out all the stops to keep the chain moving along, keeping us as informed as possible every step of the way. Her personal attention was unwavering - we can’t thank her enough, and won’t hesitate to recommend and return in the future.

GoogleI have sold a property through the Gascoigne Halman branch in Holmes Chapel and I can't thank Steph and her team enough. Our dealings were prolonged due to original sale not going ahead and they pulled out all the stops to secure new buyers and kept me up to date with the sale progress, knowing and understanding that I was apprehensive second time around. From the initial enquiry, knowledge of area and property type to market at best placed pricing, and handling of viewings - all was communicated thoroughly. Patient, diligent and personable - It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with Steph, Abby and Sarah and I cant thank them all enough!

I would try to steer clear of this company if possible. We have rented a property through this agency and it has been a nightmare. Communication is horrendous, you cannot get hold of anyone at all. We even went into the branch about our queries and still were told that no one was available and someone would contact us (which they didn’t). The property was not ready for us to move into on the agreed date and we were not told about this until we chased and chased about needing more info on moving in.

Absolutely terrible experience with this letting agent. After the landlord withdrew an agreed offer, we were left out of pocket and still have not had our deposit returned. Communication has been poor throughout, with constant delays and little accountability. We felt completely unsupported and ignored when trying to resolve the issue fairly. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before dealing with this agency. They tried to make us send them thousands of pounds with no contract given then last minute withdrew the offer and are refusing to give the deposit back. Absolutely dreadful agency.

Absolutely excellent from start to finish of the house sale - one local agent kept phoning to see if we 'had come to a decision to market the property' which lost them any business, whereas GH did the visit to see the place and then said they'd leave us alone and it was up to us to give it the go-ahead or not. No pestering - excellent. Once we gave them the thumbs-up we had a string of viewers within days, and eventually exceeded the guide price by a small margin which suggests the guide price was accurate too. The staff at Gascoigne Halman were always on hand and worked brilliantly, especially Georgia who made sure everyone was kept in touch with any and all news and developments as things progressed, resulting in a sale a fortnight before Christmas which was exactly what buyers and sellers wanted. I would heartily recommend this outift.

GoogleAbsolutely brilliant! These were our vendors estate agents and without them the whole process would have been a nightmare for us. We were only a small chain and we used an online company to complete our sale. What a mistake that was! The online company could not be contacted easily and you waited days for a response. Gascoigne Halman were at the end of a telephone. They dealt with all the questions we had promptly and responded to any messages within the day. They kept us up to date with how far along in the proceedings we were and even chased up our estate agents when we could not. Our estate agents actually only contacted us once. I have no hesitation in recommending Gascoigne Halman to anyone. If we ever move again they will be the only estate agents we would consider using. They are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I really can’t praise them enough.

After having significant problems with a another agent, which result in a collapsed sale, Steph and the team swept in, and managed to sell our house for a price we were happy with within 3 weeks of going to market. All the team are very knowledgeable, and communication is excellent. I would not hesitate in recommend Gascoigne Halman in Holmes Chapel to friends and family. GoogleI was in the unfortunate position of selling a probate property. I was recommended to use Gascoigne Halman, Holmes Chapel and was so glad I did! Throughout the whole process, Steph, Abby and Sarah displayed utmost professionalism and were with prompt information and action. No question was deemed too silly to ask and any external concerns were dealt with good, experienced advice and reassurance. Most importantly they recognised that this move was painful & sad and the team acted with empathy and compassion. Something that is rare to find nowadays... Something I am very grateful for...

Steph the manager of the branch in Holmes Chapel was professional and helpful in giving advice, initially with much of the paperwork at the start and then always being there for us throughout the sale. Her entire team were also extremely helpful with in-depth explanations when answering questions whilst ensuring we fully understood what we were doing and why it was necessary. Finally with Steph's knowledge and understanding it made for us as a family a smooth transaction even in the face of difficulties A very helpful and professional service that I would recommend to anyone wishing to sell or buy a property. TrustpilotPoor service and disappointing behaviour after tenancy agreement
After completing our tenancy with Gascoigne halman. Despite leaving the property in what we believed to be a clean and acceptable condition. We received a £550 deposit claim, including charges for cleaning (£250), decoration and painting (£150), and a radiator leak (£115). I have rented this apartment for 1 year.When we first moved into the property, it was in poor condition and had a noticeable odour. We raised this with the agency several times, but no action was taken.

As per all the other negative reviews - terrible communication - poorly written emails, unprofessional in manner and just awful to deal with. From moving into property, water pressure issues and constant cold showers. After months of back and forth was told (by a manager) 'oh well you are on a rolling contract, so you can just find another property' as appose to just having the issue fixed? Turns out it was a pump needed for the boiler, and of course the landlord did not want to pay as it was 'expensive'. It wasn't. Paying over a grand a month for no hot showers and terrible management is expensive. Clearly they prioritise landlords and not tenants. We left as suggested and do not recommend for renting at all - save your self the stress and sour puss faces.

After 3 aborted sales with Purple Bricks which consumed 14 stressful months due to lack of support, wrong price, no vetting of purchasers, etc., etc. I decided to use Gascoigne Halman in Macclesfield to sell our house. Within 1 week Matthew Clark and his team had vetted a new purchaser who was right for our property, truly had the funds, and was highly likely to follow through to completion (which they did).I can't recommend Gascoigne Halman enough for their proactive advice and follow-up, aiding the purchaser and keeping me informed. I found them friendly and easy to communicate with. No waiting for someone to answer the phone for inquiries and prompt replies on email. When the exchange of contacts and completion time came, they helped pressure crucial solicitor communication so that we met the target dates keeping me (the seller) and the purchaser happy. I can't recommend Gascoigne Halman in Macclesfield enough. Thanks, folks, you deserve the credit, and will be using you again for another property sale.

In the run up to our decsion to sell we gained total confidence in the sercvice they would provide . Although our house sale was acomplished in double quick time we feel their knowledge of potential buyers in the market place was the one of the most important factors in the sale , the other of course was our house ! GoogleSteph, Abby and Sarah really are the best of the best. Gascoigne Halman Holmes Chapel recently helped us sell our old house and buy a new one. There are so many points in the house selling/buying journey that can be frustrating or stressful, but Steph, Abby and Sarah have been an utter joy throughout - so supportive, so calm and so capable. I will genuinely miss speaking with them on a regular basis!
