GoogleDon't ever even view a property marketed by these clowns - you'll never ever stop hearing from them! Their system doesn't let you unsubscribe from their emails, but I emailed them directly and was told I'd be removed from their list some time ago - I've just had another spam email off them! Horribly unprofessional handling of your personal data, and deeply disrespectful. Even countrywide group are better than this. Will be sure to avoid using if I ever move!
EDIT: They matched my name to their records and took advantage of holding my phone number to call me about this review, which really proves my point. This is a true reflection of my experience and opinion, and one wonders how many other negative reviews might have been removed following similar requests. They certainly offered in the call to remove my details, but we all know how well that's gone in the past - and doesn't change the fact that they don't have a working unsubscribe function.
EDIT 2: I want to address the reply. The reason I know they don't have a working unsubscribe function is because I used it and kept getting emails. The unsubscribe link is present, the functionality is not.
It's correct that I didn't email, I've checked my records and apparently that was countrywide. But I only got mixed up because all the rest of my spam email frustration has been with Gascoigne Halman, including the recent email out of the blue that prompted the review.
The confirmation that I had previously used the unsubscribe function is also an incrimination, because I did not use it after receiving the most recent email.

I am sorry to read your review and its disappointing to hear that you seem to have had some difficulty unsubscribing from our property alerts. However, I have looked into this for you. Your review mentions that our service does not allow you to unsubscribe from emails, however, our emails do come with an unsubscribe option. All property alerts which are received have a link which states “If you no longer wish to receive emails with information about our latest properties click HERE. Telephone your local branch if you wish to be removed entirely from our mailing list.” By clicking “HERE” you will have been able to successfully unsubscribe. Our records indicate that you indeed clicked “HERE” which in fact resulted in you unsubscribing successfully following the last property alert your received. You mention that you “emailed us directly and you mention you were told you would be removed from the list some time ago”. I am unable to locate any emails which we received directly from you in relation to this. I would like to stress that we treat all personal data with the strictest confidence and we adhere to all GDPR guidelines. I would like to confirm that we have completely removed your details and you will receive no further contact from Gascoigne Halman.

Their marketing of the property was excellent and made such a difference, but what really stood out was the level of support I received throughout the whole process.
A special thank you to Zainab and Dan. Zainab was always so helpful, and Dan (branch manager) was more than just an estate agent, he was part-time therapist too! His calm reassurance, excellent negotiating skills, and determination kept everything moving even when we hit bumps in the road. He went above and beyond, chased updates through a tricky chain, saved me money through expert negotiation, and never gave up on the sale despite some bad luck along the way.

GoogleWriting this review now we have finally moved. I am torn on how best to describe the experience we had with Gascoigne Halman. The girls in the shop especially Zainab who was the lead on our sale dealt with things to the best of their ability. It was an incredibly stressful process, not helped by a particularly difficult buyer.
Our biggest cause for frustration throughout the entire process was the distinct lack of senior management support, there was basically none! Nick was almost as elusive as our buyer.
As I say we have now completed so don't want carry negativity over. Thanks to Zainab, Sophie and Meghan for baring the brunt of most of our frustration and getting us over the line.

I would try to steer clear of this company if possible. We have rented a property through this agency and it has been a nightmare. Communication is horrendous, you cannot get hold of anyone at all. We even went into the branch about our queries and still were told that no one was available and someone would contact us (which they didn’t). The property was not ready for us to move into on the agreed date and we were not told about this until we chased and chased about needing more info on moving in.

Absolutely terrible experience with this letting agent. After the landlord withdrew an agreed offer, we were left out of pocket and still have not had our deposit returned. Communication has been poor throughout, with constant delays and little accountability. We felt completely unsupported and ignored when trying to resolve the issue fairly. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before dealing with this agency. They tried to make us send them thousands of pounds with no contract given then last minute withdrew the offer and are refusing to give the deposit back. Absolutely dreadful agency.

Absolutely excellent from start to finish of the house sale - one local agent kept phoning to see if we 'had come to a decision to market the property' which lost them any business, whereas GH did the visit to see the place and then said they'd leave us alone and it was up to us to give it the go-ahead or not. No pestering - excellent. Once we gave them the thumbs-up we had a string of viewers within days, and eventually exceeded the guide price by a small margin which suggests the guide price was accurate too. The staff at Gascoigne Halman were always on hand and worked brilliantly, especially Georgia who made sure everyone was kept in touch with any and all news and developments as things progressed, resulting in a sale a fortnight before Christmas which was exactly what buyers and sellers wanted. I would heartily recommend this outift.

Throughout what turned into a long and complicated chain (through absolutely no fault of their own), the team kept us informed every step of the way. Communication was clear, honest, and reassuring throughout the entire process.
