I used to have really good regards of this agency cause at the beginning of my tenancy we used to get everything fixed in a very timely manner. A couple of years later everything changed when the building was no longer in warranty with the development company. After that we had to chase the agency constantly in order to get things fixed and actually when we left our flat managed by them, still a few tickets for repairs had been open for months and un-actioned. In this branch there's also an agent (potentially the director) called Hasan who is a very stereotypical sales man: he will tell you all you want to hear on the moment of viewing the apartment, but he will be quite rude and useless later on if you need something to be fixed once you've already signed the contract, stay away from him if you can. Also beware when you leave the apartment that they will put lots of efforts on finding minor issues with the state of the "end of tenancy clean" and charge you completely nonsensical amounts for it. Make sure to dispute these amounts since they won't even put up a fight to accept your counteroffer.

Very good agents that have everyone’s best interest at heart even above their own. They manage a property for me with very irrational and demanding tenants and I couldn’t do this without their help and support. Predatory marketing tactics. Unprofessional. Disrespectful. They'll put you through the process of asking for your budget, only to then place you in a bidding war between other prospective tenants, whilst disguising it as a viewing. My partner and I to a so-called viewing today. They decided to sneakily invite 40+ other people the the viewing and have us all fight for the place (to rent, baring in mind. Not to buy). People who have traveled a far included, only to have us all queue up a flight of stairs to be given a small opportunity to see the property. Given the amount of people they'd invited, they increased the asking price and put the tenants in a position to come away from the viewing and engage with a bidding war to even be considered for what had become an overpriced mediocre property. We then found out they wanted to take the holding deposits, then have everyone wait over the weekend to find out if they'd been "selected for consideration". We walking out, as did many others. Some out of anger, others because they had been priced out of the negotiations (despite given their budget from the beginning These guys are an expression of everything wrong with the property rental market. Predatory tactics to play desperate people off one and other. Shameful. Don't touch with a barge pole.

Tenants who are dealing with Ellis and Co make sure you KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. Alongside a rather unscrupulous landlord they tried to take our whole deposit (initially 110% of it), treating it as if the money was theirs to take. Thankfully we had been warned by previous tenants and so used the deposit protection system and after some serious stress got it all back. I would really recommend any tenants dealing with them to be clear on what is and isn’t your responsibility. They tried to intimidate us but thankfully my partners a lawyer and had seen this kind of thing before. In a reply to the below - you worked on his behalf and were given full responsibility by him in all emails we saw. Registering with the independent deposit scheme is a legal requirement, not a kind gesture.

I had an amazing experience with Ellis and Co Harrow. I started renting with them in 2011, since then they were looking after me extremely well. When I had boiler broken they sorted everything in couple of days. When my landlord decided to sell house where I was living they found me straight away beautiful place in very similar price they helped with everything. TEAM IS SO SO SO HELPFUL. Now I changed towns I moved out of Middlesex and I didn't had any problems with receiving my FULL AMOUNT OF DEPOSIT. And amazing recommendations for my new place when I was looking for. Issue in refunding my Security amount. Here I want to share my recent experience with Ellis & Co Harrow. Despite of paying agreed rent on time and having sufficient evidence that all my rent final settlement is done, this agency is finding different ways to deduct more and more from my security deposit and sending email forcing me to agree to the amount that they want to deduct. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS AGENCY WHILE RENTING WITH THEM. After being tenant in the current property for 9 months, when I called Ellis to report a gas leakage problem, they have started getting mad on me blindly and shown the real face how they support their tenants. Due to the lack of support in provide the meter readings, I have to get my smart meter installation done with the new energy supplier and the new provider is not supposed to hit any nail in the wall or put any wiring as that provision was already done by the old energy supplier. Without understanding the details, the Ellis Harrow agent literally starting shouting at me and started getting mad at me. He said that I should always keep in mind that i am just a tenant here and should take approvals for all these things. Before blaming me, he should have listen to me properly and understand the concerns and real matter. He putted all my concerns down and blindly started raising concerns on behalf of Landlord. To me, this has shown the real face of Agent and hence i am sharing my feedback here.

It was difficult for me to trust estate agents again after having a buyer pull out of a sale a week before completion and exchange. The same day I I contacted Ellis & Co Estate as they were one of the top leading agent in the business. They, particularly Dilpesh ( main contact) acted professionally throughout the process with good communication at all times (which was lacking with my previous agent) he kept my concerns and fear at bay.
