Alex, Rebecca and Josh are excellent and always keep us up-to-date with any new properties that come onto the market. A complex, and at times, rather fraught chain that in most cases would have collapsed if it wasn't for Jo Goddard, and also Gemma Hill, holding it all together, and in the end going well over and above what you would expect from an agent. Thank you for all your help. We cant wait to complete and get into our new home!

Selling the house was the easy bit, holding our nerve (and also the chain) could not have been done without Jo (Goddard) and Gemma (Hill). We had bizarre downsizers, split chains, Liz Truss tanking the economy in the middle and a brilliant chain who held with us to exchange. Jo and Gemma did everything to keep us all sane, we have not moved in 20 years and dreaded every minute of the emotional rollercoaster. Thanks again Charters, I would recommend (if I ever move again!). [if the boss of Charters reads this give them a special bonus, you have done very well out of our chain and it was Jo/Gemma who held it together] - avoidance of doubt worth every penny!Paul

We rent a property from the Romsey branch and recently had an issue we needed resolved as a matter of urgency. We registered it in the maintenance site and received a quick response advising that someone would be around shortly. They arrived as promised and resolved the issue. A big thank you to Fiona for assisting and following up to ensure that the issue was resolved. Very professional and efficient.

Google***AVOID*** I put my house up for sale through charters. They gave a good pitch and said the right words. Within a week an offer was made, a ridiculously low offer but I was advised strongly to take it as the market was so risky. I said I’d only take the offer if the buyers had a mortgage. Again I was advised they have a water tight mortgage they are a serious buyer. So I accepted. I was told to instruct solicitors asap to get the ball rolling, Which I did. Then silence. More silence. Then when I chased up the sale of my house I was told the buyer was arranging a survey don’t worry it’s all going smoothly..so I waited and waited. Then I got a phone call saying that they buyer could not get a mortgage and I was told to sit tight as they were attempting to get a bridging lone. More silence I chased up constantly and was given excuses or passed to different departments until I was told actually the buyer is pulling out as they don’t have the funds. In turn this cost me £1000 in abortive legal fees. There was no apology and the manner I was spoken to was dismissive and rude. Awful firm. Avoid AVOID AVOID

GoogleCharters were excellent in that they both sold our current house and enabled the buying our a bungalow. At every stage they kept us informed and quickly actioned anything we needed. We were particularly grateful that they handled well the buying of our new property which involved sustained negotiations to complete.

Fred Foey was my main point of contact and was amazing at finding and showing us properties that fit what we were looking.
