I can’t recommend Charters enough. Especially the wonderful Lydia! We had such a stressful start to our house hunt and Lydia was kind, patient and remembered all the little details- right down to our dog’s name! It meant so much to us to have someone so lovely and willing to go above and beyond. Thank you, it’s been an absolute pleasure being able to secure a house with you! And to Brett, we’re so greatful for the part you played in negotiations. 10/10, 5 stars all round!

We recently purchased our home through Jorgia, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From our very first viewing through to sale to STC, Jorgia was professional, proactive, and incredibly supportive. Charters have been excellent from a buyers side. We dealt with Cameron who understood our needs, recommended strong properties that fitted our criteria and then managed the process expertly. Buying a house should be enjoyable and non pushy, this is exactly what Cameron and Charters deliver. If you’re looking to buy a home make sure you sign up to these guys. The entire team is also super friendly and helpful, we needed ID verified for solicitors and even though Cameron was out of office, Ed stepped straight in and helped us taking time out of his day to complete what we needed. This is how modern day estate agents should deliver their services.

Our house move literally wouldn't have happened without the extraordinary efforts of the Charters team. Simon was incredibly professional and helpful when valuing our house to put it on the market. Cameron was extremely polite and easy to get on with when arranging viewings. We recently viewed a property being sold by Charters which we loved and immediatly put an offer on, which was accepted. We are very grateful that Jorgia Tye from the Chandlers Ford branch contacted us about this property at the earliest opportunity, even before it was on Charters platform, arranged a viewing and showed us round. She was personable, friendly and very helpful, allowing us plenty of time to look around and showed a good knowledge of the local market. She contacted us again after our offer was accepted in teh face of stiff compeitition and seemed genuinely delighted for us that we had been successful. ***AVOID*** I put my house up for sale through charters. They gave a good pitch and said the right words. Within a week an offer was made, a ridiculously low offer but I was advised strongly to take it as the market was so risky. I said I’d only take the offer if the buyers had a mortgage. Again I was advised they have a water tight mortgage they are a serious buyer. So I accepted. I was told to instruct solicitors asap to get the ball rolling, Which I did. Then silence. More silence. Then when I chased up the sale of my house I was told the buyer was arranging a survey don’t worry it’s all going smoothly..so I waited and waited. Then I got a phone call saying that they buyer could not get a mortgage and I was told to sit tight as they were attempting to get a bridging lone. More silence I chased up constantly and was given excuses or passed to different departments until I was told actually the buyer is pulling out as they don’t have the funds. In turn this cost me £1000 in abortive legal fees. There was no apology and the manner I was spoken to was dismissive and rude. Awful firm. Avoid AVOID AVOID

I want to thank Venessa at Charters Chandler's Ford, who helped turn things around for us in a short time, when she took over the file. We had put in our offer, which was accepted, however- it was not made clear to us fom the onset, ( by previous agent) that there were additional parties involved in the chain, which meant the purchase was not progressing as we expected. This was only discovered and disclosed to us when Venessa took on our file from the previous agent. She ensured she kept us updated and chased the other agents and solicitors weekly and was not cross on the many occassions we rang her. She reassured us she was reaching out to the other agents to push for progress as we were nearing the end of our mortgage offer period. Honestly I could not have asked for a better sales progressor. I must not forget to mention Tom, who on many occasions took us round to view the same house, while we were still considering our options. I will definitely recommend them for your sales or purchase transactions.

While Charters on the whole are 'ok' they represent landlords with properties which environemntal health have confirmed have damp. They let contractors into your home without your consent or knowledge. Staff pass on illegal information for landlords and ignore all responsibility. I had a ceiling fall down on a 2 year old,I got badly electric shocked when heavily pregnant by wet electrics, none of these were fixed quickly, multiple hospital admissions for children not being able to breath. I had contractors destroy personal posessions,most recently my childrens beds and wardrobes that they then dumped in garden. Thats just the tip of the iceberg after a decade of living there and respecting and loving their home AND leaving it in good shape when I left. CHarters are happy to represent people like this and put childrens lives at risk if it means making money. Dont do it, steer clear of this unprofessional organisation that lacks morals. How they sleep at night is beyond me. Landlords Darren H, Simeon. The worst. My neighbours even had to take him to court so that he would fix his own fence! Charters Danielle, Julian and Georgia.

Having recently sold my flat through Charters (Southampton branch), it was a relatively straightforward process.Once the negotiations had taken place, the sales progression team, namely Stephen provided good customer service. There were many frustrations on my part with the time it was taking for different part of the process which were not on the fault of Stephen or his direct team. It was mortgage companies and solicitors - lack of communication from them. Stephen showed empathy and understanding whenever we talked and I was kept updated on the progress even when there wasn't any news. He was quick to respond to my calls and emails and was consistent his approach. Thank you for your help, Stephen!
