A special thanks to Jorgia Tye and Brett Colman at the Chandler’s Ford branch. Although the process of our sale is currently in its final stages, I wanted to leave this review to highlight the quite simply wonderful support, professionalism and very clear work ethic that has been given to us. All of the team have been friendly and willing to help whenever necessary. Jorgia’s kind and caring approach, along with willing to go above and beyond has meant a lot to us. Our appreciation must also be given to Brett, whose knowledge and dedication helped guide us throughout this process.

Sales progression great

Charters is a mixed bag in my opinion and people driven. I think the branch team (bitterne in our case) is pedestrian but no more so than any other estate agent. Where things really happen is the communication that you get once a sale is agreed. I must say that Gary Hansford has been excellent. We’ve gone through an emotional, testing and turbulent 18 months in our quest to move house and Gary has been with us every step of the way. He’s had to endure our ups and downs with us and has been professional throughout. I’d go as far to say as I felt Gary was as invested in our transaction as we were. Charters is the best estate agent in Southampton in my opinion having dealt with a few.

I cannot recommend Sarah Bainbridge highly enough. After searching for a property for almost three months, I was beginning to lose hope, but Sarah made the entire experience so much easier. From the very beginning, she was incredibly supportive, patient and genuinely invested in helping me find the right place. I work full-time with long and unpredictable hours, yet she always went out of her way to accommodate my schedule, arranging viewings at times that worked for me and being flexible whenever possible. What really stood out was how much she cared. She regularly checked in to see how my search was going, kept me updated, and never made me feel like just another client. Her dedication, professionalism and kindness were exceptional. Thanks to Sarah, I have finally found a wonderful place that I am truly happy with. She went above and beyond throughout the entire process, and I am so grateful for all her help. Brilliant, Supportive & Informed

We've had a very challenging house buying experience that set us back quite a bit in our journey. It was even more scary being first time, non-British buyers with no experience in this business what so ever. However I can say that our experience with Charters remained steadfast during all of it. Jo was our sales progress once we put our offer in and she was lovely, kept us updated all the time and was very reassuring when things didn't go the way that we hoped. I felt informed and supported. I genuinely think we would end up homeless if it weren't for Sarah. The property we rented was going on the market and we needed to be out within a couple months. Unavoidably and unwillingly we started viewing houses, and we viewed a lot of houses engaging with nearly every 'big' lettings agent in town. In a nutshell, we got the one who did not give a toss to show us around properly, or introduce themselves, the one who rearranged our appointment a couple of times to then leave us waiting about 20 minutes out in the cold until they finished a chit chat with the previous viewers, the one who had no knowledge of the property we were being shown, and the odd couple who were pleasant but not really engaged. Sarah was there from beginning to end and her job wasn't to score with us but to literally find the perfect property for us. She checked in, was honest, and knew what we wanted. She was a friend, in the whole process. Everything we had to do after was ever so prompt and easy, and everyone we had to speak with, were all really attentive as well.

Our experience with Charters has been really great

Our experience with Charters has been excellent, largely due to Emma Lee who has been amazing. Communication has been really good and Emma is always on hand to help. She has also kept in touch regularly and been pro-active in sending us information regarding any properties that fit our requirements. We have a very specific set of requirements and she has never made us feel that we are difficult in any way. If you want someone who listens to what you want and does everything they can to facilitate that, Emma and Charters are the place to look.

Would just like to give a massive thank you to Sarah Bainbridge, I approached Sarah about viewing a property to let that I found on right move, I informed her that I’d had trouble finding properties in the area and she advised me that there was also some other options to pick from that might be of interest, she was very quick with assisting me with the other options and I told her which properties I liked, Sarah managed to get viewings for the properties I wanted to see on the same day even offering evening viewings to accommodate my work schedule, I’m very happy to say that within in the space of just a couple of days we have put an offer in and and been accepted, I can’t recommend Sarah enough she has made the whole process easy and quick and has kept us up to date throughout, thank you Sarah for all of your help. Highly efficient maintenance support

I had a bit of an issue when a ceiling light came down and a window handle broke. I reported the maintenance request on 31st May, and Edie Jarvis was absolutely brilliant, she dealt with it straight away and sorted a handyman to come over and fix everything. Charters were a revelation to deal with, I have been a landlord for over 35 years and in that time have rented a number or properties, and dealt with a number of agents. Charters were always extremely professional in their approach, keeping me fully informed at all times during relets. they were courteous and friendly but above all always business-like. I would have no problem in recommending them to other landlords and/or tenants. I found their managers Jenna Miles and Kamila Manila particularly helpful in my dealings with them.
