I have bought and sold through Charters in Alton on a few occasions now, they are extremely personable and go the extra mile to provide an exemplary service - they make the effort to understand what I want when I am looking to purchase, and again when selling they have never let me down, they have amazingly sold more than one property for me immediately to the first person who has viewed. (This backs up that they do not waste peoples time, they get to understand what you are looking for and match you to a property - this is only achievable when you are an expert in your job!). Charters Alton are totally friendly, professional and informative with a nothing is too much trouble approach - this has been proven by Sarah, Jane, Toby and not forgetting Lisa who is part of the progression team. I would only ever go to Charters as first port of call when it comes to selling my property. Well done on completing the sale and purchase for me, fabulous as always, and once again you never let me down!

We originally bought our house through Charters, who happened to be the selling agent, and were so impressed by how well we were looked after as buyers that, when it came to selling our home, we knew we wanted to go back to them. Toby was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He genuinely treated our house as if it were his own, taking the time to understand all the little details and personal touches that made it special to us. He kept us completely in the loop with feedback throughout and worked hard to make sure we found the right buyers for our much-loved home, not simply the quickest sale. We really felt that Toby cared about getting the right result for us, and his personal approach made the whole process so much easier. We couldn’t recommend Toby and the Charters of Alton team highly enough.

We have had the good fortune to have found Charters Estate Agents in Alton, Working with Toby Krelle and Peter Sterling. Toby has been looking after the everyday dealings and has been exceptional, going way beyond any other agent we have ever dealt with. Toby kept us up-to-date with every aspect of the property, and was always polite and professional. Peter Sterling, the manager, dealt with, and kept on top of matters in the absents of Toby to maintain the smooth running of the sale. We have recently completed on a tricky house purchase through Charters Alton. Our rating is based on our experience of the staff at the branch at Alton. If we were to rate our allocated Charters sales progressor . We had issues throughout with the Sales progressor avoiding calls and not communicating, thankfully from start to finish Toby and Jane went the extra mile to make up for the issues. When we were at the point of withdrawing from the sale due to the poor service from the progression team, Jane rescued the sale by going above and beyond to get the purchase back on track, she is a huge asset to Charters Alton and excellent in her job role. Toby was our first point of contact at Charters and also brilliant at his job. Very much a people person, always cheerful, patient and ready to help. Thank you both for pulling everything together, hugely appreciated.

Sarah was a delight! The pre sales team were kind, supportive, and patient throughout the process. They were very accommodating with viewings and always made time to answer my (many!) questions. I first met Sarah when she came to value my house. Sarah was extremely professional, engaging and thorough, taking detailed notes on my property spec to provide a property valuation. On instruction I dealt with Jack, Ed and Rich, who were always extremely professional and polite. They were all, a delight to deal with. I was given prompt feedback the next day which was always honest. As the Sale of my property continued, Sarah was always on hand to speak with me honestly and openly about what was happening within the market and how my property fitted within this, I valued this very much. Having lived in our home for more than 45 years, doing everything from up dating the property to developing a very large garden, which was completely over grown when we came back in 1977. We decided to move into Alton, before we became too old to manage a change. We went to Charters estate agent in Alton. I have to say the service has been amazing from all the staff. Right from our initial chat with Sarah, back in May to actually agreeing price in the last couple of days. Jack, Richard and Edward taking all the prospective buyers round and giving us feed back very regularly and advice. They have helped us through everything, as things have changed considerably since we last entered the housing market. Highly professional, very knowledgeable on the local market and beyond and above all very pleasant and at times quite humorous ! We’ve just sold our house through Charters and couldn’t have made a better choice. Sarah impressed us so much from day one with her experience, confidence, energy and no nonsense approach. They found us a buyer immediately and when it fell though (no fault of the team) they put us front and centre and made sure they got the right people in to see it. Not an easy house to sell, a period place that’s had a big family in it for 10 years and has no parking, so important to find the kind of buyers who are drawn to that. The team are relentlessly cheerful and reassuring and really put everything they have and their whole network into selling. And the way they manage and monitor the chain, communicating with all parties and registering their concerns was particularly impressive. I’ve had lots of experience with estate agents and this lot are faster, sharper and more professional than any others.Selling has been really stressful, and I’m really glad we chose this lot to be on our side. Richard at Charters has gone above and beyond any estate agent. We registered our interest with all estate agents to find a property that matched our expectations. Richard was the only estate agent in Alton to call us regularly with potential properties even though we were not selling our home through them. I cannot recommend Charters and Richard highly enough. Fantastic service from Charters! Sarah came out and valued our house and was really enthusiastic about our home, positive, friendly and trustworthy! After that everyone we dealt with there were great! Great communication about viewings and quick feedback. Also once we were under offer, Stephanie on the sales team was excellent, really good contact throughout the whole process. Especially towards the end when we were speaking a lot, nothing was to much trouble and it was greatly appreciated! A big thank you to Jack, for really listening to our needs as a buyer and recommending properties new to the market that matched our criteria. After 2 months of searching for properties with other agents, not getting calls returned, or not being updated when new properties came to market, it was so refreshing when on our first phone call to Jack, not only did he arrange to have viewings for all the properties we like back to back on the same day, but he organised a few extra that had just come to market that he knew we would consider. We ended up having a fun day out, viewing 5 properties back to back. What made it more enjoyable is that we didn’t feel as if we were being hard sold. Before we went in to a house, we were given all the relevant info, and then left to explore the house freely with Jack following answering any questions we had, and pointing out bits we missed. At the end of the day we had two properties that we loved, and made a successful offer on one of them the following day. However when calling the office to place the offer, we were then transferred to Edward, who was absolutely brilliant and even took our call and made calls on our behalf just after the office had closed to ensure our offer was accepted just before the weekend. I do hope Jack was able to take the main credit for this sale as it was his efficient and sincere communication and organisation that led to us offering on a house we truly love. Jacks level of service was far beyond what any other agent had previously offered, and it really does make a difference.
