We had such a smooth and painless process with Charters and specifically Sarah. She arranged several viewings for one day, drove us to each location and was very knowledgeable about each of them, before we submitted an offer within 3 hours. By the next day all documentation was submitted (with Sarah's help) and we are looking forward to our new property adventure.We will most definitely be reaching out to Sarah the next time we are looking for change of locations. She was fantastic!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Dan, Victoria and Tom at Charters Romsey for all their help, support, knowledge and care in the search to find our new home. Although we didn’t end up being able to complete on the house we wanted due to a break in our chain, the team did everything they could initially to help us keep it and when it sadly fell through they actively helped us find other suitable properties. We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us. They made what was initially a disappointing time a lot easier. Every member of staff we had dealings with were so friendly and polite.Even when we realised we had made a mistake in putting our property on the market before we had found the right home Dan was so understanding.We now realise that when we downsize it will be when we find the right property that’s when we will put our house on the market, I know that’s not what most estate agents recommend but as we have a lovely home and don’t have to move unless we find a property we love, we are not going to put ourselves in a position of getting a buyer for our house and then being almost forced into making too many compromises on a property that isn’t right.When we do find something and put our property on the market we will come back to Charters, because they deserve our custom.

We met a Charters Estate Agent by chance. Looking at a property for sale from the road, my wife and I noticed some people talking outside the house.We didn't wish to interrupt, but the Estate Agent beckoned us over as his clients were just leaving.We explained why we were there and after a short conversation the Estate Agent offered us a brief viewing, which was very helpful, saving us making an appointment for another time. On entering the property the Estate Agent asked us to remove our shoes as this had been requested by the vendor. We happily obliged as he was being respectful of the vendors wishes.During the subsequent viewing, the Estate Agents professionalism and detailed knowledge of the property gave us confidence that he was doing his best for his clients.If the situation arises we would be very happy for this Estate Agent to handle the sale of our property. The Estate agents name is Daniel from the Romsey branch.

GoogleUnfortunately, extremely difficult to buy a house through Charters from recent experience... I've never had to work so hard to try and spend the thick end of a million pounds before. What a shame. I have a property I need to sell going to market imminently, and based on my experience, I shall be using someone else for this. I wouldn't usually write an online review, but when I offered my feedback directly to them, I was addressed with a somewhat condescending tone and told "this has always been our policy". Somewhat like the (attenpted) purchasing experience with a Rolex AD, it seems like you need to be "lucky enough to pass criteria" to be considered as a potential customer... As they apparently aren't willing to receive constructive feedback & adapt to learn and better accommodate the needs of customers, I felt duty-bound to inform others who may want to avoid frustration when trying to find a house to buy/reach a wider audience when selling a property.
Mr Cousins, I (Oliver Purvis, Branch Partner) just tried to call to discuss the below disappointing review you left us. I’m sorry that you found the service here to be unsatisfactory, I would love to hear the feedback you have regarding the way my staff dealt with you and discuss the matter further. We take customer service and client satisfaction very seriously, it has been the back bone of our business since it started over a decade ago, so to hear this feedback is very disappointing. I am happy to assist you in any way that I can to ensure that your experience with Charters is as positive as it can be. Please do let me know if there is anything I can do for you? Recently we sold a small plot of land which should have been straightforward but for one reason or another it became quite complicated at times. Ben Stream, Land Director at Charters, co-ordinated the sale and he was exceptional. Despite every inconvenience he remained positive and optimistic. His advised us all the way through the sale (as we didn’t have a clue) and our trust in him paid off. As well as really knowing his job he is proactive, professional and has a really appreciated sense of humour and we certainly needed that at times ! We would certainly use him again, he’s very professional, knowledgable and actually communicates! We can’t recommend him highly enough.

I had popped along with my daughter to view a property for her. This viewing was accompanied by Tom who was dedicated to provide me with as much information as my daughter. He was very polite and well versed on the property! Although my daughter found through another agent I would certainly recommend Charters especially Tom!
