Was unfairly treated. David the estate agent didn’t know a single thing about the property we viewed today. Was very rude in person and very rude over the phone. We had travelled over 2 hours to see this property only to be rushed out of the property. The house was trashed but the photos that were pictured on their website looked nothing like a property (false advertising) they didn’t know when the property would be ready to start renting but started the process of viewings. All in all we were treated disgracefully

We purchased a property from Bradley’s and from the first viewing, the personal touch balanced with professionalism, empathy and personal responsibility Debbie and her team showed was by far the most impactive on our whole moving process. Relocating our whole family 250miles with a house sale involving a chain always suggested the process would be highly stressful and this proved to be the case, with Solicitor delays permeating the process but throughout Debbie and team were on hand to offer reassurance, obviously deep and thorough understanding of the process and honesty on the realities of where the process was. All this despite Bradley’s not being the agent for our property sale so in large part not really responsible for being so proactive in updating us. We even heard the good news of exchange from them first. Can’t recommend them highly enough, best experience I have had of an estate agent having bought multiple properties in the past.

Seems to be that all the good experiences on here are for sales. Doesn’t seem like that care much for renting tenants as there’s not much in it for them. The way my mum has been dealt with for the 4 years she was in her property was a joke. Constantly calling about repairs to be told “I don’t deal with that you’ll have to email” and then never getting a response for boiler issues, bathroom leaks, no hot water for periods of time and mice infestation and she had to pay things out of her own pocket to sort it. Then my mum was issued with a section 21 and again the agents never got back to her when she had queries about this. She has now waited two weeks after leaving the property after emailing them about her deposit and again no response! So we have called today to ask about this, no apology, again that person doesn’t deal with it so it needs to be passed to a colleague. I explained how stressed and upset my mum has been through the whole section 21 process and her mental state and that she hasn’t even had an apology for how she’s been treated and the guys response was “what am I mean to be apologising for it’s not me that’s dealing with it”. Absolutely disgusting. Not an ounce of human decency between any of them. Nice as pie when their getting a sale commission in their pocket though by the looks of it.

Having experienced very poor service bordering on incompetence and arrogance from both Exeter and Budleigh Salterton branches of Bradleys, we were naturally concerned when we contacted the Sidmouth branch regarding a property for sale. We were met by Billie, who couldn't have been more helpful, knowledgeable and personable. As things turned out, she showed us around several properties until we found our perfect new home. She kept us informed during the sales process and always responded quickly to queries. Ben, the manager, was also helpful and made himself available when needed. Exeter and Budleigh could learn much from the professionalism shown by the Sidmouth team.

With such a quick turnaround in the rental market a degree of communication is required by a company. This is lacking from Bradleys. The intrusive application process is excessive and bordering on an invasion of privacy. Hopefully new legislation will give renters the right to ask similarly personal and financial questions of potential landlords and their agents, helping us decide if we are happy to rent a property from them.
