Most unprofessional estate agents I ever had to deal with. As a potential buyer, it was very difficult to arrange viewings with them and the one viewing we could arrange was cancelled last minute, literally as we were standing in front of the address to view the property. complete time wasters.

I am following up to my prior review to let everyone know that Acorn continues to drop the ball. After the last episode - where they managed somehow to 'forget' about an ongoing lease renewal I had asked them to take care of, letting the matter slip well into the renewal period and then failing to address with me or my tenant any of my tenants comments on the terms of the lease - I now find myself having to apologise to my tenant for their incompetence. I have now returned from a business trip to find a letter dated February 26, indicating that they still had not received my instruction to complete the legally mandated gas inspection. In fact, I had instructed them, in an email dated Feb 18, which I have since forwarded to them.To their credit, the manager did contact me following my last review to apologise and offer a very small discount off their renewal fee (which was very high considering it's simply some paperwork for a renewal). And he was able to do something to ensure the agent in charge of my account sprung into action. But this was only because of his intervention.At the end of the day, Acorn can't keep tabs on anything they touch. I would strongly caution against using them. My only reservation is that the entire estate/rental agency industry is rife with incompetence, so I don't know if other agencies will be better. I do believe the industry is in need of greater regulation and oversight.

YellBe careful in Abbey Wood
I did not buy through them, but I did view a few houses in the Abbey Wood area through them. It appears a lot of their houses are extremely over priced, I recall one house was on the market for almost 5 months.There was a house I was interested in particular, I asked whether it was Ex Council the agent confirmed no. But when I called up relevant council organisations. They confirmed that it was an Ex-council. If I bought it I would have definitely Sued them.Be careful guys, get everything in writing.

GoogleI cannot recommend these people enough, especially one special fella there, I hope he doesn't mind me using his name, Joe Reaves. Absolutely nothing was too much for Joe to sort out....A real star. I've dealt with lots of estate agents and I think acorn deserve a special mention.

GoogleI couldn't recommend them more! Aidan dealt with the letting of my apartment. He was extremely proactive (yet not pushy!) and had my property rented out before details were even published on the website! Everything was explained very clearly and the service was excellent which was a huge comfort being a first time landlord. Acorn are fully managing the rental of my flat and I feel confident I can put my faith in them to do a great job.

Bexleyheath branch can seriously damage your wealth.poorly trained , totally inept and incompetent. fail to understand the matrix of the buying process . fail to disclose important facts that are needed to make a balanced purchasing decision. limited communication . all in all a complete and utter shambles. I have been in the property business for 40 years and in all that period have never come across such an unprofessional company .

Throughout the entire process (which we initially thought was going to be rather stressful although in the end was straightforward and simple thanks to Acorn), the team has been proactive in helping us finalizing the deal very rapidly. Beth in particular helped take all the stress away from an incredibly protracted sale and purchase. With out her help we would not be moving. Great communication and highest level of professionalism! From the get go we were lied to about our rental property - to the extent we were given a discount on agency fees. When returning our deposit the agents constantly attempted to charge us for things which were not our responsibility and were totally unreasonable. Throughout this process the lies and half truths prevailed. It's also clear they have absolutely no grasp on the law and will simply attempt to take whatever they can from you.Save yourself the misery and and try rent with a more honest agent. Acorn are the reason why laws desperately need changing.

He is very knowledgeable about the Crystal Palace area and the type of tenants it attracts. Initially we had a property on the market for over two months with another agent with no luck, but Aidan found a tenant in a matter of days. He has always dealt with us and our tenants in a professional, conscientious manner and has ironed out any minor problems in a mutually beneficial manner for us all.

This was mainly down to their attitude; they're friendly, warm, understanding and incredibly efficient. What could have been an immensely stressful time was an entirely manageable situation.
