Do not buy a Swingate park property! Have been in over a year and waiting over a year for defects to be sorted. You wait months for 1 person to turn up. They do half a job then have to wait another month for them to return. They only care about making a good impression at the very start until they get your money then your forgotten about.

We moved into our new home in Calderwood in April using Taylor Wimpey’s part-exchange service, and the experience since then has been terrible. After Taylor Wimpey became the legal owner of our previous property, they failed to take over the utility accounts as they were supposed to. Two new accounts were opened in my name after I’d already paid my final balance. This resulted in a default on my credit file, causing huge stress and long-term damage. We received no apology, no accountability, and no communication regarding progress or resolution. We also purchased turf through Taylor Wimpey and it was laid completely incorrectly. There should have been a layer of stones beneath the turf to allow proper drainage, but this wasn’t done. As a result, our garden floods even with light rain, the surface is uneven and wavy, and it looks a complete mess. We’ve had two landscapers out since July who’ve confirmed the issues, yet nothing has been done. We’ve had misleading updates, including being told work was “completed” when no one had ever been out. We’ve called weekly for updates and for a refund, constantly being told someone will call back within 24 hours, no one ever does. Customer service has been unhelpful, inconsistent, and repeatedly fails to follow through. We’re still waiting on a call back from anyone in senior management. Overall, this has been a deeply stressful experience, marked by poor workmanship, communication failures, and zero ownership. Completely unacceptable.

Please do think twice before you purchase any of these property's. We had a great first meeting with the sales team when the development just started the 1st Phase. Once we had started the process of buying we had to press and chase for updates on the build and when we asked for photos we were told that they are too busy to go and take photos and give updates. We were promised that we would have a meeting with Richard who deals with the after sales well before our completion date. This never happed and we only ended up meeting him on the day of completion. in which the the sales team told us " you must of just slipped through the Process". After almost being in the house for a year we have had issues with blocked drains, site traffic going past the house (even though we were told they would only use the site entrance) and many more snagging issues that haven't been resolved from when they were first raised many months ago. I have been trying to get in contact with the aftersales team on site for them to come back out and have a look but getting nowhere. (Would highly recommend getting a Private snagging agency) If you are looking for this in your new build journey then this development is for you, Otherwise if not i would deeply consider.
