We had an excellent experience buying our first new build with Taylor Wimpey.
Katie and Jonathan were brilliant and helped us along the way to choosing our perfect home, we had lots of opportunities to view different plots.
The buying process was very straightforward and we used the recommended solicitors, who were also really efficient and responsive. We used the EasyMover scheme which was also a great experience and we were able to influence which agents to use and change one at one point.
The house is fantastic and gives us everything we hoped for. The quality is really good and the small list of minor defects highlighted by a snagger and ourselves were fixed within a couple of weeks. You always pay a premium for new builds but we felt like we were still getting value for money and a long term family home.
We chose this development as it has a good feel and more character than similar new builds in the area.
Tell us what you need and we'll put you in touch. Taylor Wimpey hasn't joined The Trusted Agent yet, so we'll pass your enquiry to them or to up to three other top-rated agents near Claydon.

The good:
The customer service team are generally helpful, and the sales process itself was smooth and straightforward.
The bad:
Unfortunately, the quality of the house is very poor. We have ongoing issues with doors that should never have been a problem in a new build. The air source heat pump is extremely expensive to run, which was not made clear upfront.
The kitchen is very poor quality, as is the flooring throughout the house. Both feel cheap and poorly finished. Landscaping is also disappointing and not to a good standard.
A major frustration is that nothing seems to get fixed unless you constantly complain and chase, which is exhausting and time-consuming.
Overall:
Honestly, this house is not worth the hard-earned money we paid for it. Based on our experience, I would not buy another Taylor Wimpey home and would not recommend them.
