DO NOT buy from Taylor Wimpey! Poor quality house, 2-year warranty is a JOKE! They DO NOT CARE after they sold you the house! I had this terrible roof leakage issue for 2 months, is not even dripping in my house but splashing out now! Tried to call Taylor Wimpey customer services for more than 30 times, always new agent on the phone, always need to repeat the whole situation and of course NO ONE cares or follows up! Every single one of them promise to give you a callback, but NEVER happened! Apparently they just want to get rid of you over the phone. What a surprise to find out that even the customer services manager KEVIN is arrogant and rude and pay no attention over the phone. No wonder the whole team is a JOKE! I had a little one with me who is only 9m old. We could not sleep properly because of this horrible leakage issue. Told Taylor Wimpey, obviously they DO NOT even pay attention. So if you do not wish to experience this miserable situation I have, please make every effort to avoid this company! By the way, in case you think this is only an extreme example. I have moved into this house for almost two years now, and they still have not get me the window pole they promised from the first day! It was not an extra gift by the way, it was written in the contract!

It has been a year now that we moved into this area. Positives a. The people all around Oaklands grange are brilliant. I would come and live into this area is only because of the people who live around you. The neighbors do care. b. Lot of things for the kids to do. c. But overall Taylor Whimpey customer response is good. d. Nish (in Pre sales) and Andy/ Danielle (In post sales) they do take care and genuinely try to sort things out for you. Negatives a. Off course buying the house is expensive in this area. b. Off course in my opinion attention to details in construction are missed. c. They are not great in responding to your phone calls as you need to chase them d. The response to people can be improved.

Looks like another cash cow for TW to sell on once the houses are sold. I wonder how much the permission fees are? Why anyone in this day and age would buy a home with many hidden extra annual charges is beyond me. Buy a true freehold. From the likes of Hopton homes.

Nice and secure development, located near green spaces and quiet corner of St Albans. If you are lucky you can spot some horses and crows and even a fluffy cat.

Low density, car dependent, no community services or amenities, no shops or health services either. 2-3 parking spaces per house. While some affordable housing welcome 2 bed flats start at £400k+. Where are the bins going to go? Nearest bus …
