DO NOT BUY!! DO NOT BUY!! DO NOT BUY!! It's not worth your time or money, hard earned money that you (and a partner) would have saved. Take that money and buy another house. New builds are always hard, but Taylor Wimpey make it even harder, super stressful and leave you in the unknown. we are still waiting on many snags/defects to be completed from april, which was our move in day. we are still waiting on emails from weeks ago. We sent off a 66 page complaint. mainly pictures, so more like 5 page complaint to the managers and customer service and have heard nothing at all regarding sed email. THEY DO NOT CARE!! Day one; - oven wasn't piped up, so didn't work - dishwasher had wrong plug so didn't work - heating didn't work, boiler needed fixing - extras we paid for wasn't fitted, towel rad, extra plug in kitchen - carpet hanging out - nails sticking out of fences - fag butts in the loft - path not steam rolled correctly leaving stoney holes - poor finishes - paint all over house was poor - outside wall out of level - street lights not on for 6-7 months, so pitch black and unsafe - bath tub was cut so short from the wall - and so may more. i will put some pictures up to help since then we have had so many other problems - flooring unlevel - upstairs toilet leaked THREE TIMES IN 6 MONTHS! - cladding is a joke and blotchy - and so many more, a list of 45+ snags still ongoing for a few final big snags. We have had the worst customer service. they do not want to help, only ignore or try refund you for extras you paid for. why would i buy them before to start with then? and then make a fuss of fitting the extras they missed. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU HONESTLY STAY AWAY, SAVE YOUR MONEY! The sales team were the only ones to get things done for us. and that's not even their job! only silver lining to living here.

The good: The customer service team are generally helpful, and the sales process itself was smooth and straightforward. The bad: Unfortunately, the quality of the house is very poor. We have ongoing issues with doors that should never have been a problem in a new build. The air source heat pump is extremely expensive to run, which was not made clear upfront. The kitchen is very poor quality, as is the flooring throughout the house. Both feel cheap and poorly finished. Landscaping is also disappointing and not to a good standard. A major frustration is that nothing seems to get fixed unless you constantly complain and chase, which is exhausting and time-consuming. Overall: Honestly, this house is not worth the hard-earned money we paid for it. Based on our experience, I would not buy another Taylor Wimpey home and would not recommend them.

Can’t speak highly enough of the team here. The sales team were lovely and put up with my many visits just to come and look at the show homes as I was waiting for mine to be built. The site is well managed and I’ve been really happy with the build quality and finish. You’ll see many posts about how the site team matters in a development and this is an example of where it shows. You can tell the site team care about the quality of the homes they are handing over. I had minimal snags and a professional snagger commented that he was impressed with build quality and finish and some of the attention to detail which he sees lacking in some developments. Aftercare during the first 8 weeks has been fab. All snagging completed promptly with no fuss and the team were professional and did a great job The development is super friendly and I think more thought has been put into it than many others I’ve seen. There is generally plenty of parking with pretty and houses are not all on top of each other like some developments I’ve seen. The location is great with Reculver and the sea within walking distance and a local gp surgery a 10 minute walk away. Really happy to have bought here! Love my house. ❤️ Thanks team St Augustine’s

I’d give 0 stars if I could. Living next door to the new builds, was told by Taylor wimpey that they would replace a tree that worked as a screen for our bedroom after they took it out. This morning was told that they have changed their mind about replacing our screen. Now we have a lovely view of our new neighbours bedroom and kitchen so both of us have absolutely zero privacy. Several other residents of brook Avenue have also not had their screens replaced with the promised “oriental screening” but again Taylor wimpey didn’t want to fix their mistake of taking away several houses screens. 3 years we’ve had to put up with excessive noise all the day and especially before 8am when they’re not allowed to start and continues through to 6pm because they’re behind schedule. We’ve had to suffer and have had no offer of any compensation at all. Talk about selfish

We moved into this beautiful and quiet development six months ago and have been thoroughly impressed. The entire sales team, including Nicky, Lucy and Tasha, were incredibly helpful. We also appreciated Chanice’s support during Initial Care. And Sean the site manager went above and beyond to assist with kitchen options. There haven’t been any serious issues and aftercare has been prompt in addressing any minor problems. Overall, it’s been a fantastic first home buying experience.
