Hi Denis, thank you for your review, we’re saddened to hear of the negative experience you have had with the Leaders team in St Albans. As a business we consistently strive for exceptional service so are disappointed to read that you do not feel you received this from us on this occasion. We’re sorry to read of the issues you have faced during your Tenancy in relation to maintenance and with your Landlord in regards to references as well as the deposit. I feel it important to highlight that Leaders were instructed by the Landlord on an ‘Introduction Only’ level of service meaning that our involvement ended when you moved into the property, any maintenance issues would have needed to be reported to and dealt with directly by the Landlord. As part of this process it was also the responsibility of Landlord to provide you with an outgoing tenant reference and to negotiate the deposit release with you, when taking this into account we cannot be held accountable for the issues you have faced with your Landlord. I can see that today on the 4th of December that Louise has written to your co-tenant in regards to queries around the deposit explaining that your Landlord registered the Tenancy deposit directly with My Deposits at the start of the Tenancy and so you would need to contact your Landlord or My Deposits in regards to the deposit return. Information surrounding the deposit release process with My Deposits can be found here: https://www.mydeposits.co.uk/tenants/get-your-deposit-back/ After taking into account my points above I do not believe we have acted incorrectly as we did not manage the property throughout the Tenancy however we would like to offer our sincere apologies that you felt the service you received fell below the high standards we expect of Leaders.
