The way the surrounding areas have been left by our new property are horrible, the ‘customer care team’ have basically given us the response of not our problem anymore, after buying a new build house you do not want these issues with the associated stress.

Dismayed to see the ecological vandalism by Keepmoat contractors. A parcel of woodland has been decimated on this estate. Another developer putting greed above all else. The estate also seems rife with other problems (see below).

If you could please let us your plot number or any contact information you feel comfortable sharing then we can pass this onto the regional team to get in touch with you to discuss these issues directly. *Update* We have passed on your comments to the regional team who have informed us that the works currently being undertaken are to finish the open space to the front of the development to the agreed design with Leeds City Council. The works require the clearance of dead trees and plants, whilst retaining the existing trees. A new wildflower mix is to be laid in the middle of the open space with new amenity grass laid around the perimeter. This will give a natural feel to the entrance of the development. We would stress that the works all have full planning permission and are being carried out in accordance with the Biodiversity Enhancement Management Plan which has also been approved by Leeds City Council. Keepmoat builders are as reckless as possible. There is absolutely zero accountability for what they are doing on site, and not a single damn is given after they sell houses. The construction is still happening around, but after I moved into a house, I asked them to close the garden gates of their unfinished builds houses because they are banging all night long every few minutes if there is a stronger wind. Nothing happened, zero action. I contacted "customer service" and explained that I could not sleep during the night because multiple gates are just banging into the wall all over the site. I asked them 4 times, still nothing and they keep continuing to leave the gates open after finishing their work day. I even asked a few workers/builders directly to close the gates when they finished work but still nothing, zero damn given. I have never seen such a totally reckless company. The joy of moving into a new home with Keepmoat turned into a nightmare of sleepless nights horror. I can't believe one can be so ignorant of such a simple request. Their motto upon contacting "customer service" by the phone which by the way nearly impossible to reach in most cases: "We believe we provide the best customer care" is nothing but delutional compared that they can't even handle such a simple request... Just unbelievable. *****UPDATE***** It's funny and tells a lot of all of this when I kept reporting the same issue multiple times to multiple teams for several weeks and the issue was ignored, but after I left a review of this experience, suddenly and magically I was contacted literally within minutes and assured that now they will close all gates and make sure they will be checked before the end of the work shift. Furthermore, just another day forward and the gate in the unfinished house was left open again, banging for 2 nights. I honestly believed there was no way they could mess it up again but here we go again. Buyer beware, this is what you get after you buy a house from Keepmoat - endless suffering of sleepless nights due to banging garden gates of their unfinished houses around in the area. It tells a lot about this company's "quality" and "customer service." Management is non-existent. People leave reviews about companies to make other people aware of their experiences, not to alert the company itself about an issue. This should not be the place to report problems, people expect the company to act before a review is left, not after, pretending that "now you suddenly care of the reported issues".

Meter box doors have also been checked. This is a standard part of the closedown of site every day and particular attention has been paid since your initial complaint. Nice new area but now is too much holes in road and people every day need damage suspension in cars plus is a lot families with kids but development not think about any play are for kids, and must play on the street what is very danger for all

What hasn't gone wrong? Well nearly everything from start to finish. We were literally forced to sign our contracts which were emailed over to us. I was told to drive all the way to Leeds to the solicitors office to sign the documents by the sales staff. They were all nice and friendly until they wanted their commission I suppose. after we had bought the house we were told we could get our snags sorted, so we called a sang expert who went around the house who found around 200 snags. we have had our house for 14 months and they still have not completed the tasks. Where majority of the snags are simple tasks to do and could have been completed in 2-3 days easily. Even when the contractors do come, they don't inform us they are coming and just turn up. or if they do tell you they're coming, they just won't turn up. Julia who was our original after care person, refused to acknowledge most of the snags and I quote, 'Im not fixing that, you can do that yourself.' My son has nearly choked on PTFE tape as they have left it dangling from many radiators, pipes for the dishwasher etc were not connected. I had complaints and the Sales Director said he'll do something for us to 'apologise' who then went back on his word and is saying he didn't say what he said to me. The contractors have damaged my property and the site manager said to me, 'Well you know you've moved to a development site.' I fully know I have moved to a development site but I don't expect my property do be damaged, leaving exposed nails which is a danger to anyone who would go to the garden. There's much more I can say about KeppMoat but I'd say this last message, STAY AWAY!!. Its not worth the hassle and headache. to a point Ive been here for over a year andante to move already. Save yourselves and go elsewhere!!
