We recently sold through Green and Company and they were brilliant throughout. We had been on with a couple of agents but had no luck selling our flat and viewings were few and far between until Green and Company and in particular Jacquie Harvey took over. I was very pleased with the hard work and dedication put in not only to sell our property but also to help the sale advance and complete. There were a few issues along the way especially as our buyers were based in Hong Kong and without Jaquie helping I don't think the sale would have gone through, definitely not as smoothly as it did. I would definitely recommend Green and Company to my friends and family, fantastic customer service from start to completion.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Very happy with Green & Co.

I engaged Green & Company to sell my late mother's house as they sold the house opposite. Shaz came out to value the property and explained the various options I had for selling it. He helped me understand the pros and cons of each and left me to make an informed decision. During this time he was always available on the end of the phone to answer my questions. In the end I chose to sell via Modern Auction. The marketing details they listed on their website were very good. I had about 20 viewings, hosted by various branches of Green & Company, in the space of 7 days before the auction closed. The final price achieved was better than expected. Thank you Shaz and team.

G&C were very good answering buyer enquiries and negotiating with the sellers. However, the property was handed to us very filthy with food leftovers in the kitchen and a brown wheelie bin full of garden waste (in December!). We were given no manual of the property and really struggled to figure out where basic things are or how they work. A property manual is something that other estate agents ask the sellers to prepare to make the transition of the new occupiers more straightforward. We doubt they told the sellers to leave the property in a reasonably clean estate. There were also issues with items that the sellers were supposed to leave as part of the purchase like furniture etc. and our solicitor informed us (after completion!) that the list of items prepared by us and the sellers was not the same. The solicitor also showed us a message from the seller to G&C with the list of items that was not shared with us. As problems came after completion and G&C got paid their efforts to help were none existent indeed and kept passing the buck to the solicitors. No efforts to even contact the sellers to arrange rubbish removal despite pictures of the problem were shared with them. Almost two months since we moved in and we do not have answers for the missing items issue. We also noted that they tend not to answer emails sent to their main email address like it happened to us two times while placing home offers! Kudos for Fleur though our mortgage broker she was very good and helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am disappointed to read that the property was left in a way that you found unacceptable. Having spoken to your solicitors today, we understand that they are communicating with the sellers/sellers solicitors regarding the fixture and fittings that you have disputed. The issues you have raised need to be dealt with by your solicitors because they are part of a legal contract that they dealt with. Currently, "property manuals" are not commonplace or a legal requirement within the United Kingdom. Conveyancing procedures are presently being reviewed, and we hope that new policies will allow for something like this. As far as emails going missing are concerned, we can only apologise if this was the case. Due to COVID, we have some of our staff working from home while others work within our offices. There have been occasions when emails have been read but not dealt with on the assumption that someone else was dealing with it. This isn't acceptable, but current restrictions have caused some internal problems for us. I wish you well in your new home and based on what your solicitor has told us we are confident that they are dealing with this matter on your behalf.

I'd recommend Green & Company Sutton Coldfield to anyone because they single-handedly kept our chain from falling through due to a terrible solicitors used on one side of the chain. In particular, Jacquie was incredible. She calmed me down, stopped the tears and reasoned with difficulties on both sides of our chain. Without her we would not be in our house now. Jacquie worked above and beyond, often into the evenings and would call me before office hours in the final stages to try and make sure things would still going to plan. If we were to sell again - I would personally give Jacquie a call straight away. There is no other agent in Sutton Coldfield / surrounding areas that I would use. Do not waste your time elsewhere, if Jacquie on the rare occasion wasn’t around to take a call - several members of Green & Co stepped in from several different sites and got up our notes (which are stored on a intranet system I believe, making it easy for anyone at Green & Co to add notes) and caught us up with what was happening as and when it happened. Their communication is SEAMLESS. We always knew where we stood. We had gone with another local agent to begin with and got no viewings for 6 WEEKS! Once we moved to Green & Co - we sold in a week, with 2 offers and 5 viewings in the first few days, which is due to their reputation, their list of clients and their proactive nature. If you are looking for solutions NOT problems, you must go to Green & Co. Huge thank you to all of the team, you guys are absolutely outstanding. Well done!

We were tenants with Green and Co acting as the agents for 2 years. We ended the tenancy and were treated disrespectfully, as if we were children. We felt the agent was trying to pressure us into agreeing an unfair proportion of the deposit to be given to the landlord and she was not professional and made consistent mistakes. Would not recommend this estate agents for rental in the future.NegativeProfessionalism

As a cash buyer, an offer was submitted verbally and in writing to Green & Co. of the guide price for a property they were marketing. I never hear back from them, not even to say that another offer had been selected over mine. Not even a courtesy email, the service is very poor. Even if they had the perfect property for me, I would walk away if it was being sold via Green & Co. Sellers, there are more professional organisations out there, I cannot recommend this organisation (I have no affiliation to any other agents, that is just my opinion as a purchaser).NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Appauling. Been trying to view a particular house for ages (2 months nearly), they kept saying they would get back to me but never did. I chased it up again and agian, they told me they were waiting for the keys and would call me soon as they had it...but never called. I have looked at the file in relation to the property in question and can confirm that the property was sold, subject to contract, by another estate agent. This property was being sold by a builder that had taken the property in on a part exchange basis. Initially we were unable to gain access to the property. The builder instructed two estate agents to sell the property and the original vendor delivered the keys to the other agent. This agent sold the property (subject to contract) and we have been unable to gain access to the property although we have been instructed to keep the file open until the sale has exchanged contracts. We should have come back to you to inform you of this and I can only apologise that we did not keep you up to date.
