GoogleAVOID AT ALL COSTS!
If I could rate this lettings agents zero stars - I would.
For over a year we lived with mould in our kitchen and with a front porch door that didn't fit properly. We asked for help and reported these issues for a whole year. And these won't the only issues.
Finally we managed to get the mould removed which was done over a two and a half month period (leaving the mould exposed to us for over a month) with builders leaving our house in an absolute state. Carpets that had been left up on the stairs and living room, open holes literally through the walls that had to be filled and leaving a mass of mess in the garden.
Sparing you the rest of the details - AVOID this lettings agency with ALL COSTS. They are clearly unorganised, unprofessional and do not care about their clients.
Although I must admit - Sandra from Green and Co has been a massive help in the last two weeks with helping us get all the issues sorted and keeping us informed with the next processes. So if you must report to this agency, ask for her.

Thank you for your feedback. Having had a look at the property file I can see that we have had a lot of correspondence with the landlord over the damp. To be fair to the landlord he accepted the issues and paid a significant amount of money to resolve the problems. From what I can see you were kept up to date regarding the work required, which did take time due to the nature of the work required. Our staff did all they could to resolve the problem with the landlord and we feel your feedback is not representative to the problems that you have highlighted.

GoogleRegistered our interest in a property back in april 2020 told we was only ones interested. Got taken down due to lockdown, we then stumbled back upon the property which the letting agents failed to notify us about due to a 25 pound rent rise apparently it was out of our price range. They then told us 16 people was now interested in the property when at the beginning we was only ones interested and we was top of the list. We called every day for an update got told still waiting for a decision from the landlord then they decided not to answer our calls at all, to finally get through and be told the landlord rejected us with no reason given and said they emailed us when they didnt. 5 months we waited and wasted time for nothing at all with no communication from green whatsoever, this makes me feel like we had a very lucky escape! For anyone looking to rent with green i wouldnt waste your time on this place left me very angry and disappointed!!!!!!

I have looked at our case management system, and I can see that you and are your partner are registered with us looking to rent a property up to a maximum of £875 per month. When the property became available again, an application match was run by the letting staff for tenants looking to rent between £900 to a £1000 per month. Because you had indicated, you were looking at a maximum rent of £875 the match that we ran failed to tag you in the search.
The property was indeed inundated with interest from prospective tenants. In addition to this, the landlord was very particular. She set out strict criteria that we had to adhere to when selecting a suitable tenant which is why it took a while to obtain instructions from our landlord. However, I can confirm that your details were passed on to the landlord for her to consider your application. Unfortunately, it was the landlord who decided to accept another application.
I have looked at our telephone system, and there are seventeen calls between yourselves and our office within the period that you are referring too. At no time would any member of staff elect not to take your telephone call.
In summary, I can only apologise that we failed to contact you when the property was re-marketed and you had to contact ourselves to make the point that you had already expressed an interest in renting the property earlier in the year. However, this was not the reason why we were not able to offer the property to you.

GooglePoor customer service, I had been trying to contact them over a week everyday multiple calls a day and emails sent about a property that had gone up, it remained for weeks yet they never answered any of my calls or got back to my email.
As someone who was interested why advertise on Rightmove if your not going to answer phone calls or returns emails. Before you respond usual bs we busy, I actually called so many times and different times and nothing.
I would recommend you fix your call handling, I guess landlords should be aware of this too, losing out customers.

GoogleI used this agency about 3 years ago when I was trying to buy a property. The transaction was extremely prolonged, they appeared to be on the vendors’ side, even when I had paid out monies for various surveys, and I remember thinking at the time that they didn’t want me to buy the house. Reading the blogs of others today, I wonder if this organisation proactively discriminates against people of colour. It was my worst experience of an estate agent and cost me a lot of wasted money on surveys etc .... because in the end I walked away from the transaction. I would never ever use or recommend this agency. The manager needs some serious training. It’s a wonder they sell or let anything.

Good morning Vee. I write to confirm that in the scenario you have described we do indeed act for the vendor. However, unless the sale proceeds to completion of contracts we do not receive payment for the services provided so it is in our interest to try and ensure that all sales agree proceed to completion. Equally we do not "discriminate against people of colour". If you would like to make a formal complaint please email customercare@green-property.com and we will investigate the matter further. GoogleShould of read the poor reviews before deciding to give this company money.
Was pressured into making a fast transaction for a holding deposit. Then had a complete flare up with the referencing company but the letting agents were happy to continue as soon as the referencing company didn't play ball the letting agents completely changed their demeanour from being 'very friendly' to being as how they are being depicted in other reviews and refusing to give me my money back. Absolute scam and unprofessionalism.
In regards to your below comment..
Firstly, I would refrain from posting sensitive/confidential information especially whilst this matter is under dispute.
Secondly, what you have posted is factually incorrect and this is just the story line you are using to try and 'cover' yourselves to withhold money you are legally not entitled to, but all of that will be made obvious in exchanged emails when the formal complaint is progressed.

A landlord is reasonably entitled to request certain information from a prospective tenant when deciding whether to grant a tenancy. In doing so, it is envisaged that the information will be correct and accurate. Where a tenant provides assurances that any queries, raised as a result of the information provided, have been resolved then the landlord can accept these in good faith and proceed with further checks by a referencing company. In circumstances where these issues remain unresolved then a landlord is entitled not to proceed to grant a tenancy. It is always hoped that an application made by a tenant will proceed smoothly.

GoogleAbsolute time wasters, I registered to this letting agent several months ago, still in the same position, agent will advise me to look out for emails about properties that I may like, but they never email me, last email was back in January, I'm always having to do the chasing, not helpful in the slightest,, I'll be lucky if I get a viewing at this rate, again absolute time wasters.

When our Letting Management team received your email (31st January) regarding the issue raised about the central heating boiler they took action at 8.30am and engaged our contractor. The quote was approved with the landlord and the contractor agreed to attend to the work the following day (today) to complete the repair.
Clearly a boiler breakdown is unusual and this was made worse by the fact it was extremely cold so I understand the inconvenience that this has caused you. Any issues experienced out of hours are generally dealt with by the tenant and reasonable costs are then refunded subject to the landlords approval. However, this is incredibly rare and most property related issues are dealt with and rectified the following day without any inconvenience to the tenant.
The management team will do everything possible to ensure the boiler is repaired today.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I have looked into your file and I can see that we have arranged for contractors to attend the property to carry out some work in relation to door locks. However, the landlord does have the right to ensure certain items remain as they are which, I believe, has been communicated to you. If you have any outstanding queries please contact the management team who will be happy to help you.
