I am so sorry to hear that Mr Gordon decided to renegotiate at the last minute and put you in such a position.
I feel it is totally unacceptable and unethical that a buyer could even consider doing such a thing, especially at the last minute. These actions although uncommon are totally beyond our control as Mr Gordon must have been very aware of his purchase position from the very beginning of the sale and tracked his fund value.
Speaking to James I am well aware that through the whole sale he went above and beyond to push the sale forward and even made suggestions to negotiate through the chain when your buyer decided to renegotiate. In the end, I hear that you were able to pass the loss through the chain and weren’t financially inconvenienced, which is a relief.
However, I do not feel Mr Gordons actions warrant a reduction in our already discounted fee. I feel my staff have dealt with the sale professionally and shouldn’t be penalised by the buyers actions.
I do hope that you are settling in to your new home and I can assist you in the future.

I would be very wary of letting these guys manage the rental of anything! Purchased a property via gascoigne and Halman, that has previously been tenanted (managed by gascoigne and halman), and it’s been a horrible experience. When we viewed the property it was filthy, so offered full asking on the agreement it be professionally cleaned. When we moved in, not only was it still dirty but we quickly discovered it had a serious flea infestation! When I flagged the flea issue to the chapel offIce they were helpful and did try to arrange pest control, but it was ineffective and 8 weeks on we still Have issues- the pest control guy thought the issue must have been untreated for many many months as the infestation was so bad! I don’t know what kind of checks they do on tenants, or how regularly they inspect their properties, but allowing a lovely new house to become absolutely infested under their management absolutely amazes me. Be very wary if you are considering them as rental agents.

GoogleIf your property is situated on a premium road in Knutsford I would not recommend using Gascoigne Halman. They assume the property will sell itself so they do the bare minimum. They insist on taking assisted viewings but (and in our case, I typed up a list of information to be passed on to viewers) they do not give sufficient information to viewers (and in our case couldn't even be bothered to show them inside the garage even though we had left all relevant keys). The worst thing was that information they did include was inaccurate and nearly cost us our sale.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleGascoigne Halman supported us during our house purchase in a new area (to us); this included a sale with another agent. From the outset the service provided was excellent, and we had no issues with arranging viewings and follow up.
It was during the sale process when we were part of a chain of four that the Gascogine Halman really excelled, Rhiannon was nothing short of brilliant especially helping with communication up and down the chain and keeping us calm when the chain fell apart, we got it back together and the sale and purchase went through and this is in no small part due to Rhiannon's help; given we were not selling with Gascoigne Halman we cannot fault the exceptional drive to get the sales completed. GoogleIt is rare to find a number of incompetent people in one place but Gascoigne Halman have succeeded. Perhaps it is down to their recruitment policy.
No knowledge of catchment areas or proper answers to basic questions when viewing a property. Then completely mislead us with statements that are later found to be completely false. Not to be trusted!!
Not sure who was worse GH or Julian Wadden but based on knowledge, professionalism and personality I would look towards Lawlers or Bridgfords whether buying or selling.

GoogleAVOID AVOID.pathetic service , they work for the landlords only , not for the tenant .we spent 1year + in a house at Timperly and not even a single issue has ever been resolved by Gascogen . we moved into the house with a washing machine full of mold , (we didnt know we had to open the washing machine and check every part before signing contract )requested to change it , but got refused ,we bought our own , and now when we are moving out, we are told that landlord is now going to buy new one for upcoming tenant ,so we donot need to fit the old one back before we leave.i wonder how landloard (being a doctor ) was using that washing machine .
refrigerator stopped working within 3 days of moving .
there was a filthy pond that needed cleaning but landloard and company refused to do it , we literally had a fight to get it done ,as we were told house will be cleaned before we move in .i wish there was an option of 0 star .
