She genuinely went above and beyond to help me secure a rental property and made the whole process feel smooth and stress free. Her support, responsiveness and attention to detail were really appreciated, and it made such a difference during what can often be a stressful time. GoogleMy wife and I recently moved home which involved a long chain of properties. Gascoigne Halman Glossop were the estate agent acting on behalf of the property we were purchasing. Out of several estate agents involved in the process they were by far the best! Karen Armstrong was excellent from day one. Her communication and commitment to seeing the process through was amazing. At points it genuinely felt like she was our estate agent. Throughout numerous issues that arose with other sales in the chain she worked tirelessly to resolve them, going far above and beyond other estate agents in the process. John the branch manager and Chloe her colleague were also excellent. If we ever move in the future they will be our go to!

I found the team at Altrincham very professional and friendly. I had lived in my house for 27 years, so I found the whole process really stressful, especially when the first purchaser pulled out of the sale at the last minute. My house sold again straight away, and one member of staff in particular Joanne was very knowledgeable and reassuring, she was always willing to compromise and listened to any concerns I had, which was more than my solicitors did. GoogleWe used Gascoigne Halman to buy a house in Glossop in December 2025 and they were great. We mainly dealt with Karen Armstrong and she was super patient, knowledgable, kind, responsive and helpful. Moving house is stressful and i had other personal things going on, but Karen was super reassuring and really patient throughout, i really trusted her and Gascoigne Halman throughout the sale and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move in the Glossop area.

GoogleCannot be trusted. The vendor had told them the property I was buying had Knotweed but they didn't tell me until after I'd instructed solicitors. I lost some of my solicitors deposit when I then pulled out.

GoogleWhat a lovely bunch! I recently had the pleasure of working with the team at Gasgoine Halman, Didsbury to sell my house. From the first time James (Manager) came round to value my property, I felt confident of his valuation and proposed approach to marketing my house. I have never sold a house before and it was 25 years ago when I bought my first house, and I am a firm believer in, 'you don't know, what you don't know'. I had considerable dealings with Tom and I'm sure I asked some daft questions, but Tom was always on hand to help me get to grips with things, he was always professional and explained things thoroughly. The team in the office were also kind, helpful and made me feel most welcome if I called in for advice about my sale and my purchase (which was with a differnt local Agent). I would highly recommend Gasgoine Halman, Didsbury.

GoogleTo be perfectly honest at the beginning, the process wasn't the smoothest with Gascoigne, however once Tom Harvey took over our case it was great. Despite the overall house sell process not being good, Tom was always on hand to talk to and had great communication. He was incredibly patient and supportive and I felt he was doing everything in his power to try make the bumpy process better. I'd honestly recommend having him on your case if you can!

GoogleI had a great experience with this company who sold my mother’s house in just 9 weeks from putting it on the market to completing. Sharon was my main point of contact who kept me informed of progress all the way through. For me it was a great result and I was very pleased with their professionalism during the whole process.
