Just sold our flat via Ellis & Co. We saw about 4 agents in the area without feeling fully convinced by any one of them until a friend recommended we see Ellis & Co. The Director, Khalid, came out to meet us and by the end of that first meeting, we knew they were the ones for us. Khalid has decades of experience in the industry, knows the local area, actually listens and frankly honest (we all know this is a rare trait with estate agents). He showed a real enthusiasm for our property, shared thoughts immediately on how he would market it, and respected our needs to work viewings around our family life. My one criteria upon selecting Ellis was to only have a strong singular point of contact throughout the sale and Khalid made good on that. On top of that, he kept an open door to any questions we had, including those related to an onward purchase we were making via another agency. Perhaps little known but Ellis are also active in the local community and I learnt after the fact that they donated to the primary school fundraising efforts my son attends (giving back is a rare thing, and Ellis did not demand advertising boards as part of that). As property sales go, we had a few high stress moments during the sale but Khalid was personally on top of all those moments, with timely updates to us via email & phone, and worked really with with our solicitor in the final stages to push things through at a time when we were abroad whilst all the other parties in the chain felt like draggers. I simply cannot recommend Ellis & Co. more and would not hesitate to go with them again. In summary, all the good stuff: - knowledgeable & approachable - professional attitude, well-staffed (kudos to Khalid, Costas, Chris, Julie) - strong communications (inc. the automated notifications & reminders for viewings and responsiveness by email daily) - personalised service (single point of contact, and adhered to our requirements) - competitive pricing - collaborative (working with all other parties, solicitors, agents in the chain) - over & above (making time to answer questions about general questions, onward purchase - stuff unrelated to our sale) - reliable & dedicated (pushed the sale through the points in time when others in the chain seemed to be flagging a little) - genuine & pleasant people

Completed a purchase for a flat in Finchley in April 2017, primarily dealing with Chris. As a first time buyer there were obvious uncertainties on my side, but Chris was patient and had a good understanding of the process which was very helpful. Khalid was also good to deal with and to the point (given his experience). Overall experience with Ellis was positive. As a feedback point, I would have appreciated more active and clearer communication but this can be easily improved.

I was struggling selling my property with the slowdown in the market but Ellis and Co were the only agency that made sure there was always some progress. This was the first property I have sold but did not come with the stress that most property owners warned me of. Kiran Sattar gave me full assurance over all aspects of the sale, from the marketing to the negotiations. She regularly updated me with viewings and offers on my property, giving her professional advice on what I should do throughout. When she was unavailable, her colleague Nikkesh happily assisted me and got Kiran to contact me as soon as she could. I have rented a property through Ellis and co for 3 years now and have nothing but good to say about them I dealt initially with Ashley Thompson and at the time was new to the uk.
