Whenever we have any queries, she responds promptly and always provides us with sensible and thoughtful advice and solutions. GoogleA great agency with the best properties! Buying our home wasn't straightforward and after terrible experiences with agencies, we decided to look exclusively with these guys. Thought it was impossible to find an honest, straightforward and genuinely nice estate agent but when we found Chris at Carter Jonas we were proven wrong. I wouldn't buy a house through anyone else in London.

GoogleCould not recommend Andrew Maddock at Carter Jonas Newbury more, his service from start to finish has been excellent and he has really made a very stressful time that little more bearable. He always rang around to chase what was going out and kept me informed. If you are looking for a local trustworthy estate agent then this is the man for you.

GoogleWe sold a property with the professional help of Carter Jonas and the sale was completed in December 2014. From our initial meeting with Isabella, we knew we were in safe and capable hands and from the moment we instructed the sale, the whole team were fantastic from start to finish. The photographer took care and attention to get the best pics, Julianna from the team was constructive with presenting the property in its best light with many attributes and Isabella was committed to each and every house viewing. Her guide price was the price we achieved and we were of course, very pleased. The sale did fall through (unexpectedly) at one stage of the game, due to the purchaser not being able to get the lending they required, however as soon as this became apparent, the property was actively remarketed immediately and a second offer (for more) was secured within a day or two. The property sales team (particularly Isabella who managed our sale) and the property lettings team gave considerable time to visiting our property and another property that we are hoping to buy soon and gave us advise on property valuations and rental values to enable us to help make some decisions. We are very grateful for their help and support over the last few months or so and would highly recommend them for property sales and rental. Thank you Carter Jonas

GoogleWe’ve had a really positive experience with Carter Jonas as tenants in central Oxford. The landlord lived abroad and was quite difficult to get hold of, but the agency took care of everything instead of them. They were always very professional and replied to e-mails promptly, and any property issue that we reported was always taken care of. They were kind enough to arrange complete redecoration of the bathroom whilst we were away on holiday. Moving out was hassle-free, and they were very fair with respect to wear & tear, giving us our full deposit back. Would definitely recommend.

GoogleFrustrating and hampered by the representatives lack of relevant knowledge. Generally negative attitude towards prospective tenants. Carter Jonas have a rather demeaning approach to tenant selection. They run a beauty parade. You need to pay to enter the competition. If you fail the credit checks you get a refund. If you are not selected for the short list you get a refund. If you are not chosen by the landlord you get a refund. If you voluntarily drop out you DO NOT get a refund. Be careful of this last one. Even if you change your mind it would be cheaper to be rude to the landlord rather than come clean and admit you no longer want the property. Even if, just for example, you decided you had little faith in the agents commitment to refurbish the property to minimal habitation standards, remove the bee nest, fix the leaking roof, fix the eye-watering stench in the lounge and put the doors back on. Even then, you are still not going to get a refund.

GoogleIf you rent through this firm then don't expect your deposit back. Totally inaccurate after inspection report. I believe they view rental deposits as a tenant tax.

GoogleCharlie and the teamed performed superbly in recently selling an investment property of ours. Despite several set backs they provided a very professional and efficient service, selling the property on three occasions within 2 days ! Highly recommended.

GoogleBad experience. Non-flexible agent who takes issue with financial status checks. Does not allow self-funding postgraduate students to take on any property contracts unless willing to pay full rent in advance or has a UK based guarantor, which is nearly impossible for any non-UK/EU international student. The agent showing me the flat was using his mobile phone and not explaining anything to me. Simply very bad experience.
