GoogleI would wholeheartedly recommend Thomas Merrifield to anyone looking to sell their property in Oxfordshire. Stuart, and the team were first class, and thoroughly professional through the process. Stuart was fantastic with us and supported us through the process to the sale after we switched to TM from another agency. Viewings were handled well, communication was faultless and the service incredibly professional. To anyone looking for an estate agent in Oxfordshire, don't look any further than Thomas Merrifield.

GoogleBuying and selling houses in frustrating and fraught with challenge that make it all very stressful. It pays to have an experienced, steady head on your side to keep you up to date and in control. That's where Graeme at Thomas Merrifield Kidlington comes in. Graeme knows the industry and the process like he invented it. He found us a buyer within a couple of weeks, guided us on the market, and allowed us to feel in control. In that nervous bit between accepting an offer and exchanging contracts, he told us what to expect and kept us informed, and where other arties were dragging their heels he was politely on them like white on rice to push them along. He cares passionately about what he does, he's done it for like, 108 years or something close, and so you're not dealing with a newbie or an empty shirt. His team are very professional also, having no doubt learned a lot from Graeme. Having dealt with 2 or 3 other estate agents in my time, for buying, selling and as a Landlord, I've experienced plenty of shoddy performance and "it can wait until next week." Not so with Graeme and the team, and they're not me expensive than the rest. Highly recommend. Why would you gamble with anything less?

GoogleWe used Thomas Merrifield for the sale of my father-in-law's house. The sale could not have gone better. First time buyers whole process took about 8 weeks. Graeme Pierce was on hand to guide us through the whole process. He was very kind and empathetic with my father-in-law who had moved into a care home. We would not hesitate to recommend working with Graeme. He was so helpful and responsive. I wish we could award 10 stars!

GoogleDelighted and most impressed by the service, efficiency and personal touch at Thomas Merrifield's Kidlington office, which simply could not have been bettered. Our first encounter was with Lisa, who showed us round the property. Having looked round about 20 properties via around 10 estate agents, Lisa was the best prepared and most knowledgeable. Having decided to buy, we were guided through the process by Julian, including some negotiations on our behalf with the vendors. He, and the whole team, were easily available at all times to deal with the many issues that buying a house bring up. Nothing was too much trouble. In sum, we cannot praise Thomas Merrifield highly enough.

I highly recommend Thomas Merrifield if you enjoy being robbed! Say goodbye to that pesky security deposit money. Why would you, a tenant who has kept the property clean the entire time and cleaned it before leaving, deserve the full amount of your money back? These poor letting agencies and landlords are starving and don’t know when the next meal will come! They deserve all your money!! The poor cleaners had to pull a few weeds out of the garden in my case! Really they should be owed millions for such a brave act! They also had to get a wet sponge and wipe some dust away that is constantly being generated by the musky old carpets! More money out of my deposit! This work was really needed I’m sure, even though it was already cleaned by me. I really should just give them all of my money (savings included) these poor bastards need all the money they can get. What a silly billy I was to think that my security deposit was only for damages caused by me or me leaving the place in a terrible state! It’s actually their money in which they can spend however they want! Yippy! In all seriousness, the agent I spoke to after I left my overpriced box offered to pay for half of the costs (which in total was about £400) because and I quote “I was such a good tenant” he probably took pity on me knowing full well the amount they were taking out of my deposit was tantamount to me bending over and Thomas Merrifield himself sodomising me repeatedly. I can say with confidence that I would have gotten more back or had my full deposit returned if I was just dealing with the landlord and not some unaccountable, decentralised corporate entity such as Thomas Merrifield. I never spoke with the landlord once, I’m sure he’s nice though.

What started as a fairly straightforward purchase turned out to be quite complicated, but Damien remained professional, calm, and incredibly supportive every step of the way. He went above and beyond to keep things moving, kept us informed at all times, and was always available to answer questions or chase things up when needed. His dedication and commitment made a huge difference, and we genuinely felt that he cared about helping us get the right outcome. We’re extremely grateful for everything Damien did and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
