I would highly recommend Raena Bond at the Grove branch to anybody. Not only was she really professional and efficient but she was also very friendly and I felt she genuinely cared about us as a family. She helped us navigate through a difficult time and I'm very grateful for all her advice and support.

We were pleased we transferred to the Oxford Branch as we obtained a better offer on the house and the sale has now completed. George was very pleasant to deal with and went to a lot of trouble to relay queries and did his best to minimise delays caused by the legal processes. We appreciated the continuity in that we mostly dealt with George, who did all the viewings. Would use Thomas Merrifield again and recommend the Oxford office.

Stuart, Philip and team in Witney did a really good job of bringing the sale over the line in a difficult market, particularly after a set back caused by a totally incompetent surveyor. They were very professional and supportive throughout the sale process, which was much appreciated.

I had a really lovely experience with Chloe viewing a house, she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She then went on holiday and I dealt with another Agent. Sarah Gronow was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She was not accommodating to my questions or needs and felt the need to copy in her Director, as couldn't face the concept of my comments being factually and legally correct. Estate Agents should have excellent customer service, as we are the customers, not always get the last word in (as her emails came across). The knowledge of the home and any previous listings should be top level, as of course, people will have questions around that if a house has been on the market for 3 years (with gaps). I am very fair in my comments and honest. I do not expect to be treated the way I felt with Sarah Gronow. I am very disappointed and saddened by this experience as Thomas Merrifield have a lot of houses we wished to view. This experience has now confirmed I will not view with them again, which is a shame, as Chloe is the best estate agent we have seen.

Stuart, and the team were first class, and thoroughly professional through the process. Stuart was fantastic with us and supported us through the process to the sale after we switched to TM from another agency. Viewings were handled well, communication was faultless and the service incredibly professional. To anyone looking for an estate agent in Oxfordshire, don't look any further than Thomas Merrifield.

Excellent service from Damian at the Abingdon branch. He managed to secure a buyer incredibly quickly and was friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. He kept me informed at all times and was always happy to answer my queries. Things did not always entirely go to plan but Damian was constantly reassuring. I could not have asked for better service.

GoogleSold my Mother's bungalow after she moved to a care home. Stuart was brilliant. I chose him because I had sold and bought before a couple of times in the past. Everything was completed remotely as I do not live near the property anymore. Fantastic service.

GoogleHorrendous customer service. Attempted to view a property, enquirer via Rightmove/Zoopla. Was confirmed via email and then called two days later asking if the viewing was confirmed (despite 3 message back and forth). After driving to the listing (in Crawley), had no method to communicate directly with agent given limited mobile phone service in the area. Found reception in the nearby pub and after calling the main office, asked if it was normal to receive limited service as it felt quite cold and transactional compared to other estate agents engaged with previously. Was greeted with quite a condescending tone and a ‘what do you expect?’ Will not recommend to work with Thomas Merrifield and instead urge you to train your team on customer service and managing interactions in a less condescending manner.

FacebookI first dealt with Simon of Thomas Merrifield over 10 years ago when he sold my parents house. My wife and I had a further dealing with him in 2011 when we offered on a house that TM were selling. Although acting for the seller, he had a refreshingly honest approach to the sales process which speaks volumes. We were not the highest bidder so did not end up buying through TM. We later bought a house through another agent and lived in it before deciding to move at the end of 2016. It was an easy decision as to which estate agent we would use, having had such a good experience with them in the past - I didn’t even call another agent. Simon was efficient, honest and ultimately very successful in finding a good buyer for our house at arguably a difficult time of year (3 weeks before Christmas). It feels as if Simon lives and breathes property in the Abingdon area so he is very well placed to advise. I have no hesitation in recommending Simon and the Abingdon Thomas Merrifield team.
