GoogleI had sold a house through Merrifields before, years ago, and was very happy with the service then. So I was delighted to find that Jon was still there and was able to look after us personally most of the time, backed up by the rest of the very efficient team when needed. His experience and knowledge of the local market are invaluable, we were kept regularly updated on progress, and he was always willing to provide advice and help when needed. We would highly recommend Merrifields to anyone looking for an independent, efficient, and totally trustworthy estate agent in Bicester.

GoogleWe used Thomas Merrifield Kidlington office to sell our 3 bed semi detached house in Oxford. We felt they were very fair with their estimated value of our property and honest all the way through the selling process. We were fortunate to deal with all the staff from the Kidlington office and found them all very polite and caring. Within five weeks, we had accepted an offer and Lisa guided us through the stressful time of selling a property to a completion, I would highly recommend this Estate Agents.

Google⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I genuinely cannot recommend Graeme and the team at Thomas Merrifield highly enough. When I first instructed Graeme to sell my property, I was naturally focused on getting the house marketed properly, arranging viewings and ultimately securing a buyer. What I hadn’t appreciated at that stage was just how important having an experienced and proactive estate agent would become throughout the entire transaction. From the outset, Graeme’s knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and genuine passion for property have been exceptional. The marketing was handled professionally, viewings were arranged seamlessly and feedback was always provided. The whole team have been friendly, responsive and an absolute pleasure to deal with. When I received two offers on the same day, Graeme took the time to talk me through both buyers, the strengths and risks associated with each position and gave me his professional recommendation. His advice proved to be absolutely spot on. As the transaction progressed and became considerably more challenging, this is where Graeme really went above and beyond. He kept on top of the chain, communicated with the various parties, helped me understand what was happening at each stage and was constantly available with sensible, experienced advice. There have been numerous occasions when I’ve genuinely wondered where I would have been without his involvement. I was also purchasing my new home through Thomas Merrifield, so I experienced their service from both sides of the transaction. Graeme personally showed me around the property and his knowledge extended far beyond simply selling it. His understanding of the property’s age, construction, extensions, title and general history was incredibly impressive. Property clearly isn’t simply a job to Graeme, it is something he has a genuine interest in and passion for, and that comes across in everything he does. Throughout what has at times been a stressful process, Graeme has been incredibly supportive, both professionally and personally. He has an ability to keep things moving while remaining calm, personable and approachable, and even my buyers have commented positively on their dealings with him. Having now exchanged contracts, I can look back and appreciate just how much work goes on behind the scenes once an offer has been accepted. A good estate agent doesn’t simply market your house and find a buyer, they help hold the transaction and the chain together until you actually get to exchange and completion. Graeme has demonstrated that from beginning to end. Of course, none of this happens single-handedly. Graeme has an excellent team around him and everyone I have dealt with at Thomas Merrifield has been helpful, professional and supportive. A genuinely outstanding service from start to finish. Thank you Graeme and the whole team, I couldn’t have asked for more.

Their communication and friendly professional manor was very welcomed, they were clear and fast with all replies and responses when needed. It was a shame my buying experience didn't continue with them but I still couldn't recommend them more

GoogleAs executor, I recetly had the task of selling my deceased mother-in-law's property. It was in a pretty poor condition and really needed a fair bit of expenditure to make it properly habitable once again. Thomas Merrifield had been recommended to me, so after an initial meeting when I was impressed by Mr Graeme Pierce's overall approach, I gave them the go ahead. It was a difficult sale for them due partly to the current economic situation, but also to the state of the house. However visits were arranged and Thomas Merrifield kept me informed with the feedback from prospective purchasers. Eventually they found purchasers who made a reasonable offer that I was pleased to accept. Due to no fault of Thomas Merrifield the sale took a considerable time to be completed. Graeme was excellent throughout keeping me informed as to progress of searches etc. He also kindly kept me informed of progress by the purchasers' solicitors. I am pleased to say that the sale has now been fully completed. My extreme thanks go out to Graeme (and the rest of the staff at the Kidlington branch) for all their efforts throughout the lengthy process. GoogleOur initial experience with Thomas Merrifield was positive. Unfortunately, things changed when it came to making an offer. We had to chase for updates, and when the property went to final offers, we submitted our offer but never heard anything back. In fact, we only found out that the property had been "sold" because we happened to see the listing updated on Rightmove. We were never contacted directly to tell us that our offer had been unsuccessful. It was particularly disappointing that they had clearly found the time to update Rightmove, but not to let us know the outcome of our offer.

GoogleMixed bag service. We mainly dealt with Damien, which overall was a positive experience, very professional. However our process went on for just under a year, which takes it's toll on everyone in it. However reason for the 2 star reduction is for the handling of a situation on moving day by other staff. It was extremely poor and added additional stress to everyone involved.

GoogleWe’ve rented via Thomas Merrifield for over 6 years and had the opportunity this year to purchase our rental via them. Throughout the last 6 years they’ve been amazing- prompt communication, quarterly property visits, used reliable contractors and have always been on hand for any advice. They’ve also seen us through our purchase via our landlord and have been great throughout. I highly recommend TM for lettings or sales and would not hesitate to use this local business again. They are the property experts of Bicester and want the best for their customers whether you are renters or sellers. After meeting with several estate agents, it was clear that Luke was the right person to handle our sale. He quickly understood the property, set out a clear strategy, and impressed us with his honesty, flexibility, and ambition. Right up to our initial offer communication was great, but from offer to completion I cannot sing Sharon’s praises highly enough. We had a complex chain including first time buyers, and a family who had already moved out of the country, but Sharon juggled all their solicitors and estate agents, and kept me fully updated every step of the way. She was my sanity when I felt like I was loosing hope. I would highly recommend!
