I would highly recommend Raena Bond at the Grove branch to anybody. Not only was she really professional and efficient but she was also very friendly and I felt she genuinely cared about us as a family. She helped us navigate through a difficult time and I'm very grateful for all her advice and support.

We were pleased we transferred to the Oxford Branch as we obtained a better offer on the house and the sale has now completed. George was very pleasant to deal with and went to a lot of trouble to relay queries and did his best to minimise delays caused by the legal processes. We appreciated the continuity in that we mostly dealt with George, who did all the viewings. Would use Thomas Merrifield again and recommend the Oxford office.

GoogleJust bought a house from Thomas Merrifield Wallingford. The entire team were excellent. Luke, Joe, and Tiffany were on-hand to explain the sale process throughout, and I was able to speak to them same day, on every occasion I needed (usually within an hour). We were technically ready for completion in approx 7 weeks of my offer, which was largely facilitated by the TM team being 'on it' and pointing out things we needed to have ready, even before solicitors asked, etc. The services (eg solicitor and financial advisor) they recommended were also excellent - and seemed to offer reasonable value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend TM Wallingford; they are a highly competent and trustworthy team.

I had a really lovely experience with Chloe viewing a house, she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She then went on holiday and I dealt with another Agent. Sarah Gronow was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She was not accommodating to my questions or needs and felt the need to copy in her Director, as couldn't face the concept of my comments being factually and legally correct. Estate Agents should have excellent customer service, as we are the customers, not always get the last word in (as her emails came across). The knowledge of the home and any previous listings should be top level, as of course, people will have questions around that if a house has been on the market for 3 years (with gaps). I am very fair in my comments and honest. I do not expect to be treated the way I felt with Sarah Gronow. I am very disappointed and saddened by this experience as Thomas Merrifield have a lot of houses we wished to view. This experience has now confirmed I will not view with them again, which is a shame, as Chloe is the best estate agent we have seen.

Excellent service from Damian at the Abingdon branch. He managed to secure a buyer incredibly quickly and was friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. He kept me informed at all times and was always happy to answer my queries. Things did not always entirely go to plan but Damian was constantly reassuring. I could not have asked for better service.

GoogleDavid and his team sold our house in Cholsey this year. They were absolutely amazing. We had a fixed objective and they never tried to change our mind or put any pressure, their advise was always impartial, their professionalism spotless. They had to deal with some difficult customers and helped to reach the best possible agreement once they found the right buyers. They are personable, warm, honest and have been always responsive when needed even during odd hours!! They also recommended the lawyers who were very very good. I cannot thank them enough. Thomas Merrifield in Wallingford is indeed a fantastic choice as estate agent.

GoogleWe just sold our house through Thomas Merrifield in Wallingford and we can't speak more highly of David, Craig, Tiffany and the team. It took a long time to find a buyer but that was clearly an issue with the housing market being so challenging. The team never faltered in their determination to find a buyer and we lost count of the number of viewings they managed to set up. Our eventual buyer saw our house back in June 2023 but they needed to sell their own property before they could make an offer and achieved this by switching their own sale to Thomas Merrifield. Once we had the chain established, the team was very proactive in moving the process along.

GoogleMy husband and I couldn’t recommend David, Craig and the rest of the team at Thomas Merrifield anymore! We finally bought our first home in October 2023 after 7 months of ups and downs, and highs and lows. What ended up being a very drawn out process, with the chain breaking near completion and us nearing the end of our mortgage offer, was made as stressless as possible by the care and attention of both David and Craig in particular. Both were efficient, responsive, reassuring and kind at every step of the journey. Whilst we have no intention of moving anytime soon(!), we definitely wouldn’t hesitate in using Thomas Merrifield if needed! Couldn’t recommend enough and thank you ever so much to you all!

GoogleThis is the second time we have used Thomas Merrifield in Wallingford to sell a house for us. Both times have been excellent. This time we had David looking after our sale (although all the team are great). From giving a great valuation, getting an excellent price for us, finding a buyer, the process was smooth. We had a confirmed offer within 2 weeks. David was then extremely proactive in moving the sale along, in fact picking up things that really our solicitor should have done. 100% recommend if you are looking to sell your house.

GoogleAfter interviewing 3 estate agents we chose Thomas Merrifield to sell our home in Chalgrove after being very impressed with Luke’s approach. Our house sold within 4 working days which speaks for itself really in terms of the approach taken, Luke knew we wanted to sell quickly given we were offering on a property. We had excellent contact throughout and whilst our move and purchase were extremely bumpy with numerous issues, we were always supported. With Luke on holiday in the final stages Joe took over and kept everything moving, even stepping in to deal with issues that weren’t something that an estate agent should be dealing with! An excellent team that we would sell with again.

GoogleIf there were more than 5 stars David would have got them. From the start of the marketing through to the completion David was on top of it. He gave us regular updates, responded quickly to our queries, called and emailed when he said he would and provided support through what is, frankly, a stressful process. He was pro-active in finding out what was happening with the other sales in our chain, which was very reassuring. He balances being thoroughly professional and very approachable and it evident he is very passionate and dedicated in his work and to provide the best he can for both the buyer and seller. Additionally we spoke to other members of the branch who were also professional and helpful. I've already recommended David to my friend.
