Absolutely first class service from Graeme and his team at Thomas Merrifield. This was not an easy sale to progress, Graeme was spinning lots of plates, in a difficult chain, including keeping me up to date with information as and when I needed it. When i had questions about the process he was patient in explaining things to me. His communication via phone, voice mail and email has been first class. I would recommend Graeme Pierce and his team at Thomas Merrifield without a doubt. 100% first class service.

We were pleased we transferred to the Oxford Branch as we obtained a better offer on the house and the sale has now completed. George was very pleasant to deal with and went to a lot of trouble to relay queries and did his best to minimise delays caused by the legal processes. We appreciated the continuity in that we mostly dealt with George, who did all the viewings. Would use Thomas Merrifield again and recommend the Oxford office.

Certain staff members have a poor attitude

I had a really lovely experience with Chloe viewing a house, she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She then went on holiday and I dealt with another Agent. Sarah Gronow was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She was not accommodating to my questions or needs and felt the need to copy in her Director, as couldn't face the concept of my comments being factually and legally correct. Estate Agents should have excellent customer service, as we are the customers, not always get the last word in (as her emails came across). The knowledge of the home and any previous listings should be top level, as of course, people will have questions around that if a house has been on the market for 3 years (with gaps). I am very fair in my comments and honest. I do not expect to be treated the way I felt with Sarah Gronow. I am very disappointed and saddened by this experience as Thomas Merrifield have a lot of houses we wished to view. This experience has now confirmed I will not view with them again, which is a shame, as Chloe is the best estate agent we have seen.

Buying and selling houses in frustrating and fraught with challenge that make it all very stressful. It pays to have an experienced, steady head on your side to keep you up to date and in control. That's where Graeme at Thomas Merrifield Kidlington comes in. Graeme knows the industry and the process like he invented it. He found us a buyer within a couple of weeks, guided us on the market, and allowed us to feel in control. In that nervous bit between accepting an offer and exchanging contracts, he told us what to expect and kept us informed, and where other arties were dragging their heels he was politely on them like white on rice to push them along. He cares passionately about what he does, he's done it for like, 108 years or something close, and so you're not dealing with a newbie or an empty shirt. His team are very professional also, having no doubt learned a lot from Graeme. Having dealt with 2 or 3 other estate agents in my time, for buying, selling and as a Landlord, I've experienced plenty of shoddy performance and "it can wait until next week." Not so with Graeme and the team, and they're not me expensive than the rest. Highly recommend. Why would you gamble with anything less?

Delighted and most impressed by the service, efficiency and personal touch at Thomas Merrifield's Kidlington office, which simply could not have been bettered. Our first encounter was with Lisa, who showed us round the property. Having looked round about 20 properties via around 10 estate agents, Lisa was the best prepared and most knowledgeable. Having decided to buy, we were guided through the process by Julian, including some negotiations on our behalf with the vendors. He, and the whole team, were easily available at all times to deal with the many issues that buying a house bring up. Nothing was too much trouble. In sum, we cannot praise Thomas Merrifield highly enough.

Excellent service from Damian at the Abingdon branch. He managed to secure a buyer incredibly quickly and was friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. I bought my first property with Thomas Merrifield. Overall it's been a really positive experience. Organizing the viewings was quick and easy and Lisa was very helpful showing me around. I was quite anxious as a solo first time buyer but they answered all my questions. Graeme was also really helpful during the rest of the buying process. I'm really happy with my first little flat and the agency made it a really stress-free experience. Another bonus shout-out to Graeme who personally went to the property to retrieve my mattress that had been delivered too early and carried it into the property for me, so that it was ready for me when I got the keys! 5* service thank you.
