We were pleased we transferred to the Oxford Branch as we obtained a better offer on the house and the sale has now completed. George was very pleasant to deal with and went to a lot of trouble to relay queries and did his best to minimise delays caused by the legal processes. We appreciated the continuity in that we mostly dealt with George, who did all the viewings. Would use Thomas Merrifield again and recommend the Oxford office.

Certain staff members have a poor attitude

I had a really lovely experience with Chloe viewing a house, she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She then went on holiday and I dealt with another Agent. Sarah Gronow was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She was not accommodating to my questions or needs and felt the need to copy in her Director, as couldn't face the concept of my comments being factually and legally correct. Estate Agents should have excellent customer service, as we are the customers, not always get the last word in (as her emails came across). The knowledge of the home and any previous listings should be top level, as of course, people will have questions around that if a house has been on the market for 3 years (with gaps). I am very fair in my comments and honest. I do not expect to be treated the way I felt with Sarah Gronow. I am very disappointed and saddened by this experience as Thomas Merrifield have a lot of houses we wished to view. This experience has now confirmed I will not view with them again, which is a shame, as Chloe is the best estate agent we have seen.

Jon and the whole team did an amazing job of selling our home. After our house did not attract a single offer during the first four months with another agent, we switched to Thomas Merrifield and the difference was night and day. The whole TM team was consistently excellent on communication, team members showing the home were knowledgeable, feedback was prompt and informative, and Jon provided both regular market updates as well specific activity updates on our home throughout the process. We had two agreed offers back out before third time lucky, but Jon and the team remained as engaged, energetic and communicative as from day one. The office also communicate and work well as a team, leaving no gaps during absences . . there was never a lull or knowledge gap because someone was away. True professionals who actually work hard to find buyers, market and show the home well. Many others will promise the world and deliver little. Best estate agent experience we have ever had. Highly recommend.

From the start to finish very impressed, honest, reliable and always ready to help. I found them very truthful and gave us a true value for our house they didn’t try and oversell. We had viewings regularly always on time none canceled and immediate feed back from the viewings. After just 6 viewings we had several buyers interested in our home. Then all of a sudden price agreed and sold. We got a price over our original expectation and were very pleased. They kept us up to date within the next 12 weeks procedures but most of all informed us of a really reliable , accurate and fantastic surveyor, that we used. The surveyor put our hearts to rest a few times when the process started. I don’t often right a review unless I’m 100% satisfied and truly recommend . We wouldn’t hesitate to use again . I would highly recommend the Thomas Merrifield Bicester team. From start to finish, they were professional, informative and really easy to work with. Jon was very honest, professional and helpful with the valuation of our property, we knew we were in safe hands and felt positive that we'd be able to sell our home with him and the team. The sales collateral was among the best we have seen and they use a very talented photographer to show off your home in the best way. The sales team were brilliant and between them, they managed to get two offers within a couple of weeks of listing the property. Glyn, Sarah, Danielle and Jon all gave timely feedback and kept us updated throughout booking and running viewings. The second offer received proceeded to a successful sale. Sharon managed our sale and was great to deal with - always very quick to respond and get answers, really helpful, friendly and understanding.
