I would highly recommend Raena Bond at the Grove branch to anybody. Not only was she really professional and efficient but she was also very friendly and I felt she genuinely cared about us as a family. She helped us navigate through a difficult time and I'm very grateful for all her advice and support.

We were pleased we transferred to the Oxford Branch as we obtained a better offer on the house and the sale has now completed. George was very pleasant to deal with and went to a lot of trouble to relay queries and did his best to minimise delays caused by the legal processes. We appreciated the continuity in that we mostly dealt with George, who did all the viewings. Would use Thomas Merrifield again and recommend the Oxford office.

They worked so hard for us and made everything as easy at it could be. It was a long old process but special thanks to Raena and Jack (Grove Branch) and Damian (Abingdon Branch) for being so patient and understanding.

I had a really lovely experience with Chloe viewing a house, she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She then went on holiday and I dealt with another Agent. Sarah Gronow was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She was not accommodating to my questions or needs and felt the need to copy in her Director, as couldn't face the concept of my comments being factually and legally correct. Estate Agents should have excellent customer service, as we are the customers, not always get the last word in (as her emails came across). The knowledge of the home and any previous listings should be top level, as of course, people will have questions around that if a house has been on the market for 3 years (with gaps). I am very fair in my comments and honest. I do not expect to be treated the way I felt with Sarah Gronow. I am very disappointed and saddened by this experience as Thomas Merrifield have a lot of houses we wished to view. This experience has now confirmed I will not view with them again, which is a shame, as Chloe is the best estate agent we have seen.

Excellent service from Damian at the Abingdon branch. He managed to secure a buyer incredibly quickly and was friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. He kept me informed at all times and was always happy to answer my queries. Things did not always entirely go to plan but Damian was constantly reassuring. I could not have asked for better service.

GoogleA big thank you to Thomas Merrifield for all of their hard work on our newest purchase! The whole team were very friendly and helpful on the occasions that I popped into the office. Andrew and Kaine were our main points of contact and both were always professional, polite and easy to work with. They kept us updated throughout the purchase and chased solicitors when things became very quiet! Even once the sale went through Andrew went above and beyond for us to make sure we could settle into our new home by sorting out a miscommunication. This was despite us not being his paying customers as we had sold through another agent and showed us a genuine kindness for which we are ever so grateful. Thank you Thomas Merrifield!

Extremely responsive and accommodating when it came to answering our questions and arranging additional viewings to ensure we were comfortable throughout the process, especially at the inevitable times when things became more complex. GoogleWe recently bought our first house, so can't compare to any previous house purchasing experience, but we can nonetheless give a very confident recommendation for the Abingdon branch of Thomas Merrifield estate agents. Kaine Peverley was always there to answer queries and responded to emails and phonecalls with minimal delay. Viewings were arranged to fit with our work schedule and were a relatively hands-off affair, which suited us well. Kaine handled the negotiation process from initial offer through to completion with tact and charm, and was proactive at seeking information to give us and the seller updates on progress. This is clearly a well-run branch with experienced staff, who have demonstrated a high level of professionalism. Kain was just fundamentally a really nice guy, too!

GoogleWe are extremely pleased and so grateful to have dealt with Thomas Merrifield Abingdon. In particular Mr Philip May has been assisting with our first time home purchase. We didn’t realise how stressful the process could be. Phil has been a gentleman and highly professional who was very helpful, understanding and very very flexible throughout the process within 3 months from offer to exchange of contracts . Phil has gone way beyond to help us secure the property eventually with the price we have Budgeted. We had so many difficulties since we made the offer including negotiations, arranging surveys, ensuring the current difficult tenant vacating with no legal issues and arranging innumerable visits to the property and dealing with the seller who was difficult to cooperate with . We had so many hurdles and Phil was always there supporting us and communicating effectively, optimistic and he was very transparent and trust worthy. We were assured that we were in safe hands with no biased service from the sellers.
