Our experience of Taylor Wimpey at Hamilton Copse was second to none. A professional sales person handled our enquiry very well and the show homes looked incredible.

First impression was good but later when I was renegotiating the incentives, sales person asked me to literally walk away. Could have been said more professionally. I went to Trustpilot for honest review and with that they cancelled my provisional allocation of plot and banned me for lifetime. Update:03/25- Purchased house with Cala and can’t thank Taylor wimpey enough for blocking the deal.

Booked a visit to a show house - went to this development a couple of hours early to look around. What an eyesore! The place is this weird mix of faux Georgian homes that look like the homes you would find in Bath. But it’s obvious they are fake. Then there are the quasi modern homes in what is laughingly known as the “urban quarter”. This feels like any other modern estate with not enough parking. Access is a nightmare. You either have to queue your way through Plymstock or Plympton before you queue your way into or out of Sherford. There are no shops, no heart, no soul. It is an utterly joyless place trying to be something it is not. We cancelled the show house visit. No matter how great the deal, nothing could persuade me to live in this miserable place with its fake architecture.

Not fond of this estate, never been a fan of Wimpey property in any case, Thankfully I don't have to live here, but the narrow roads, rocks in gardens making visiting relatives who do live on the estate a nightmare, certainly doesn't endear me to the place. Every house is so "samey" no character, but that has been a symbol of a Taylor-Wimpey site forever

We paid an external snag company to review our house and they found over 100 issues with our property all of which broke HNBC standards/regulations. This report was handed to Taylor Wimpey when we moved in and had the evaluation done five months ago. Most of these issues have still not even been looked at, very few have been resolved and a large number are ongoing. Both our en-suite and main bathroom showers were unusable for weeks when we first moved in as they leaked in multiple places and I had to shower at the nearby gym. Taylor Wimpey had no urgency resolving the issue and when they came to inspect simply covered all their bad work with sealant. Eventually one shower had to be completely replaced and the other is still being worked on as recently as this afternoon. We recently also spotted black goo dripping down between the glass in our living room. They also just didn't do some of our extras such as extra sockets and spotlights and when we asked if they could add them in they just told us we didn't need them. Sockets were the wrong way round, not level and in different places to our drawings. There is no membrane between the tiles and the wall so behind your shower will mould within two years like ours has and they will only patch it no put a membrane is which is the new NHBC standard. Despite the clear photos proving the mould through our bathroom wall, Anne from customer service said "Essentially our wet room spec is, waterproof plasterboard > waterproof tile adhesive and mould-resistant waterproof grout. This will provide adequate waterproofing." Its not waterproof as per my livechat conversation with British Gypsum: "We do not have any 'waterproof' plasterboard. We have a moisture resistant board and a tile backer. We do have guidance on website for bathrooms etc if you will allow me to find it for you?" Be very careful as they say they will work with you every step of the way but with multiple issues they have argued against it, claimed that photo evidence isn't enough and said things are on order for months on months. I would honestly would not recommend Taylor Wimpey to anyone looking to buy a new home.

Been there twice, first visit was almost a year ago when a lady who took us through the process was not even trying to sell rather acting very judgemental when we asked about offers. Why do you even have offers then? I was just put off by her way of answering my questions. We had lots of questions as FTB and this lady was clearly not interested in doing her job. Decided to go look around old built. As their show homes were open a year later, my husband and i went there on Saturday because we wanted to discuss about upcoming plots. One of the ladies was the one from our prev visit and i wanted to avoid her at all cost. The other one was not less. She clearly doesn’t have any idea in terms of dealing with customers. Her approach was not friendly. She was very quick to judge that we are probably friends of a family who was in show homes just because of our skin color is same as theirs. Agents make huge difference to the whole home buying process, was again put off by these ladies even before considering the purchase. Whilst we loved the 3 bedroom house, we just did not want to engage with them for the process so we left even though we had booked appointment. If we do consider going ahead with Taylor Wimpey, i would never want to engage with these two bitter arrogant souls. Not being approachable to customers is the worst attitude one can have as an estate agent.
