This review isn't really about a sale or purchase, it's a more general service based one.
The agent came initially to value my flat; I'd only accepted the offer out of curiosity in case I fancied moving at some stage.
He went through the flat and made his valuation along with giving a list of things thati might either help the value or sellability.
Then I mentioned a plan I'd had to try to move into property investment.
Without the prospect of a sale he sat and patiently talked me through a number of aspects of the property market and pointed me in the direction of a number of resources and people who might help and talked through the pros and cons of various strategies.
As a result I've bought two buy to let's since then.
I can't speak highly enough of his knowledge and integrity.
And assuming he is representative of the company rather than just a stand out, they would be my first choice and recommendation in future.

I chose Moginie James to see my property due to their excellent reputation, however my experience didn't live up to it. The branch staff were very good, but didn't do enough to market the property meaning it was nearly 6 weeks before I even had a viewing. When I was passed over to the sales progression team I found the service impersonal and the process dragged on for a long time before the buyers pulled out. Not enough was done to evidence the claims made by the buyer and I decided to change to a different agent.

Sold a house through Moginie James earlier in the year and the service was exceptional. From their initial valuation, to the way they marketed the house and on to a smooth completion, the staff were professional, friendly and extremely helpful throughout. They believed in the house we were selling and achieved the price we wanted in no time (other estate agents had blatantly under- valued for a quick sale).
Had the pleasure a year later of being on the opposite side and purchasing via the same agents. Same great service and the Sales Progression Team are first class - no query too trivial or too much and they're on to it straight away!

Having not bought a house for 15 years, we weren't entirely sure how to view properties. Sarah however has a fabulous approach to introducing the property, paying attention to detail such as providing an insight of the neighbours and the context in which the house is being sold. This has really helped us in our thinking and has influenced our whole approach not only to buying, but what we expect of our own agent!
