TrustpilotPurchased despite Intercounty, not because of them
We have had a mixed experience that got progressively worse as exchange in contracts approached. We twice arrived at the point where my wife and I agreed to pull out of the purchase due to questionable levels of service, rescued at the last minute by progress. Despite the purchase being agreed, there was an overly aggressive air in the way some communications were handled, as if to try and close a deal that was already closing. This was probably not helped by the Vendor, but your job as agents is to broker between two parties, a job I feel was not handled very well at all. Indeed your involvement at times only served to confuse and delay. There was also a poor attempt at creating urgency in responses when responses were actually owed by yourselves. You were called on this and back-tracked over a period of 24 hours. I would be happy to discuss further either face to face or on the phone, but don't do not have the time to write in the required depth.

We have come into contact with many estate agents through the last few years buying our first home and now moving on. Intercounty have without doubt conducted themselves in the best way of all of them - realistic pricing, honest feedback and even just the fact that they have longer opening hours has been really appreciated. We were told we could sell our house for much more than we knew was realistic, and now are watching all houses around us reduce their prices to try and get a sale, while we are sold, complete in our new house and very happy with the outcome. Josh and Rosanna particularly were amazing - giving their honest thoughts on houses we were looking at when they could have just pushed us to make offers on the first ones we saw to hurry the sale along. Glad to hear that our staff have explained everything to you. At Intercounty we instruct independent companies to ensure our Landlords are given completely unbiased information. The administration fee is not simply a payment for Intercounty but covers all the referencing, the Right to Rent checks, safety compliance checks, preparation of the tenancy agreement and guarantors agreement.
