All the team at Intercounty Saffron Walden were incredibly friendly and helpful from the get go. We were listed with two agents and they managed to win the buyers of our property. Nothing was too much for them they were energetic and professional to deal with quickly and politely resolving every enquiry and viewing. As a first-time buyer, my experience with this estate agency was extremely disappointing. During a purchase that later fell through, I received frequent calls pressuring me to chase my solicitor and suggesting I was holding up the sale. One agent even described my solicitor as “useless” and implied we were not progressing matters properly. Months later it became clear that my solicitor had done everything correctly and that the delays were actually related to the sellers and their solicitors. Unfortunately, by that point the purchase had collapsed and I had lost around £1,000 in solicitor fees.

I am genuinely sorry to read how you feel about your experience, particularly as a first time buyer, which should feel supported and positive. We have since spoken with you directly regarding this matter and, while we fully respect your right to share your perspective, we do not recognise all aspects of the experience as described. Throughout the transaction, our intention was to keep all parties informed and to help progress matters as efficiently as possible. Where delays arise, it is standard practice for us to encourage buyers and sellers to liaise with their solicitors, as they are best placed to provide detailed updates on the legal process. This is part of ensuring communication remains active across the chain, rather than attributing fault. Property transactions can unfortunately be complex, and delays can occur for a variety of reasons outside of an agent’s control, particularly within the legal process. While we work hard to support progress, we do not have full visibility of, or influence over, the work being carried out by solicitors on either side. That said, I am sorry to hear that your subsequent interactions left you feeling uncomfortable or not taken seriously. This is certainly not the standard we aim to deliver, and your comments have been taken seriously and shared with the team to ensure we reflect and improve where needed. We do regret that your purchase did not proceed and understand the frustration that comes with that. We would very much welcome the opportunity to support you in securing your next home and to demonstrate the high level of service and care we strive to provide to every customer.

Would highly recommend Aaron, with that said anyone we dealt with at the Sawbridgeworth branch was very helpful which was great. 10/10.

GoogleFound ourselves in a mess when a leak in our apartment caused damage to the below apartment. I was contact by Olivia Property Manager who explained the issues to us. It was so reassuring in her mail she wrote "Please leave this with me and I will get this resolved for you." True to her word Olivia has sorted it! We have been with Intercounty since purchasing the property and have been fortunate to have such excellent representatives. Olivia is a true representative Intercounty services and we are so fortunate to have her as our representative now and going forward.

Google5 star experience - friendly and swift communication Throughout the process of moving we worked with Aaron. Aaron came to our flat at the start of the process and sorted the viewings and photography of our flat. Then throughout the process, Aaron would phone with updates and queries and made communication between the solicitors and those in the chain swift and easy. I would thoroughly recommend Intercounty’s services.

Blake and Karen make a brilliant combination with local knowledge, general knowledge of home buying and selling mixed with enthusiasm and personability needed for negotiating with their clients. We always felt there was someone there to answer the phone when we needed instant reassurance. Nothing was too much trouble. This is the second home we've sold with them.

There were many positive things that could be said about Intercounty previously but over the course of the last 12/18 months the service provided to landlords has fallen off a cliff. Multiple call and emails needed to actually get anything done, errors in payments and, oh when they decided to close an office and sell the rental book to another firm, informed me at 8.55am on the day the transfer took place.

We recently sold our property just outside of Saffron Walden with the assistance of Intercounty. We had tried a few other local agents previously but they put no effort in to try to sell the property, just waited for someone to look on Rightmove. The marketing was excellent and the photography was by far the best we had seen. Their communication between offices is what sold our house. We were kept up to date with progress especially as it got stressful at the very end of the process. Would definitely recommend.

Thank God for intercounty, there should be more estate agents like them. I had gone to about 3 estate agents before intercounty and they were…you can fill in the gap ☺️. When I found a property I liked I was a bit skeptical about calling and viewing but I did and I’m now lounging on my sofa and sipping hot coco 😋. Mollie attended to me and made me feel like a superstar 😂. She was so friendly and professional I couldn’t believe people like her still existed. She was always in touch either by phone or email to keep me in the loop. I think she deserves a promotion 👍. Over the last few months Intercounty have helped me sell my property with exception ease, even during a global pandemic. The communication with their team is second to none, whether that be via email, phone or in person. We were moved in within a month of viewing the property which was exactly what we wanted!Mollie at Intercounty was so helpful during our viewings and moving in.
