Grace West is such an asset to Intercounty. When we started kooking at buying our first home in January we had dealings with nearly all of the estate agents in the area. Grace was a breathe of fresh air in her proactive approach. She went out if her way to tell us about a house that fitted the brief of what we were looking for, and was not yet on the open market. Grace was professional, kind, a great communicator and a real pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend Intercounty Great Dunmow.

During us purchasing the property we dealt with Poppy who was always on hand to answer any of our questions/queries and always came back to us very quickly. Absolutely awful selling experience! No communication, unless we made contact. No communication to my then buyer! The sale was passed on to the person who was ment to keep on top of the sale progress, he did absolutely nothing and over the course of time contacted us just once! We started to feel things were not right after over 12 weeks and not much progress! It all ended yesterday when I received a text from my buyer saying he would not be carrying on with the purchase of our house. When I contact intercounty Dunmow I felt that they were not really interested or even cared about how we felt! They simply said get your house back on the market ! If they had been doing their job they were being paid to do, they would have been in contact with the then buyer and would have known there was a problem! We will now loose the house we are buying and have to start all over again! And they just do not care. We feel this situation could have been resolved earlier with them communicating as they should have done ! And were being paid to do so ! I certainly would not recommend as I would hate anyone to be treated in this way.

I would like to express how very impressed i am with the estate agency and in particular Tom. I feel that Tom has gone above and beyond and the customer service has been definately 5 star. also I suffer with severe anxiety and depression so as I'm sure you are aware the process of moving is very scary but Tom has been a constant source of reassurance and he has been very helpful to my family. First time buyer, terrible experience

As a first-time buyer, my experience with this estate agency was extremely disappointing. During a purchase that later fell through, I received frequent calls pressuring me to chase my solicitor and suggesting I was holding up the sale. One agent even described my solicitor as “useless” and implied we were not progressing matters properly. Months later it became clear that my solicitor had done everything correctly and that the delays were actually related to the sellers and their solicitors. Unfortunately, by that point the purchase had collapsed and I had lost around £1,000 in solicitor fees.

I recently purchased my first home through Intercounty and dealt with Daniel and Doug. Communication with them both was seamless and efficient. They were responsive to my enquiries and provided timely updates which really helped the sale go through smoothly. Daniel was very helpful in providing information about the local area as it was new to me, that really made me feel at ease with moving somewhere new. I even contacted the team after purchase for recommendations on cleaners and they kindly gave me the name of a service they use. From the first phone call made back in November 2023, Tom has provided a true 5-star service. Our relationship with Intercounty, through my daughter, goes back to 2015. Her property was purchased through them, was let by them and finally sold by them. Intercounty handled all phases very professionally including, most recently, the sale which proved to be challenging at times and protracted, stretching across several months involving three purchasers. Our principal contacts were Grace West who then handed the case onto Doug Whybrow who saw us through to exchange of contracts and, ultimately, completion. This review was done at the behest of Karl, just after he had secured in principle a sale of our property. I was in truth uncomfortable about writing anything until such time as I knew what he and his team may be like in actually following through on a verbal sale to full completion, but against my better judgement and thinking that if I gave a nice review he might well look after us I wrote the below. Some months later it has transpired that no such service has been forthcoming and the sale in question is now extremely circumspect. As such I retract the below statement. When tested over the duration, the team has not performed. Karl has been professional and polite at all times and ultimately delivered on his promises, which is rare in todays world. We have used Intercounty before and have always found them to be more sympathetic to the pressures and emotions of buyers and sellers alike, more so than other agencies and Karl has continued to build on this reputation.

Outstanding ! I instructed Karl and Jake to market our house and they were extremely efficient, arranging photographers ( who took top quality photographs) and agreeing our asking price and explaining the process of selling.The house went live and within less than 12 hours we had sold.The booking of visits ,always accompanied, was really efficient and confirmed by text. Ultimately the service provided by Karl and Jake was outstanding and on top of that they were extremely friendly and professional.I would highly recommend them to anyone.
