GoogleFantastic estate agent, I met with several agents from the area before deciding to sell my house with Gascoigne Halman. They were professional, prompt, gave good fair advice and kept me up to date with the sale at all times. They sold the house at the price they suggested which I was very pleased with, and their rates are in line with their competitors. I highly recommend this agent to any prospective seller or buyer.

Right from putting in our offer to getting the keys nothing was too much trouble, they kept us informed every step of the way and went above and beyond on numerous occasions. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in Chapel

GoogleAppalling service from bottom to the top. Let us move into a house that was previously used to grow and sell drugs. We only found this out when i found drugs stuffed up the chimney. Did not resolve any issues we reported - the property needed major work excessive damp and mould all they said was well move out .. do not use these jokers only interested in taking money.

GoogleBeen a customer for 3 months now... Extremely disappointed.. 3 weeks since raised issue with shower, still waiting approval apparently.. tenacy not cleaned while beginning of contract, after multitude of emails back and forth, was informed that fat dripping from the extraction hood is not their problem as I have not asked for the apartment to be cleaned at the beginning of tenacy. Doors dont lock, cupboard doors dont stay shut, mould in the house near windows, when asked why a certain drawer doesn't open in the kitchen was informed that it is ornamental. I am new in the UK, hoping that this bad service is just limited to this particular agency and not the actual consumer service in general. Would have given a zero rating if it was possible.

GoogleBooked an appointment for a valuation last week. They were due to come out today and I finished work early as it was a 4:30 appointment. Just had a phone call from them at 4 to say they weren’t coming as we were out of their area (despite a home 200 yards away that is on the market with them) shocking service. But at least I know now.

GoogleI have had a terrible experience with these people, we rented a 5 bedroom house in Bramhall, when we moved in it was filthy and nothing worked, including hob, boiler, gas fire, showers, we complained and have been battling with the agents ever since. I wrote a 20 page complaint to the Director in accordance with their complaints procedure and didn’t even get an acknowledgement. I am now in the process of taking our complaint to the Property Ombudsman. I parted with over £3000 prior to moving in and have received an absolutely abismal level of service. Completely unprofessionally and shoddy.

GoogleWe had a really good experience buying our first house. Jodie was excellent and went above and beyond to help us throughout the process. There were so many parties involved in the process, we often got confused between speaking with mortgage advisors, solicitors, developers and G&H. Jodie did a great job at keeping us informed, answering any questions we had and explaining the process to us. They obviously have a good working relationship with the developer too, as all tweaks that we requested were completed without any issues.

GoogleHad a really good experience buying with Gascoigne Halman. I was involved in a few sealed bids processes before being successful, and found GH really pleasant to deal with - kept me up to date, were transparent, and I didn't need to chase. I dealt with Mandy for my house purchase and she was great - fought my corner a few times, so professional as well as being really nice to speak to. This was a first house purchase and it all went smoothly, so very grateful. I dealt with most of the estate agents in Sale at some stage, and GH are for sure one of the best.

GoogleI can not recommend highly enough, especially Anna. She is an absolute expert in what she does and truly cares about the best interests of the person seeking her help. Anna is so knowledgeable and extremely patient. She is always on hand to help and able to provide reasoned and sensible advice. A truly genuine and honest person who is all about helping others.

GoogleThe worst letting agents that I have ever had the misfortune to rent through. Moved into a 2 bed flat to find that the bath was sinking into the floor, the main heating in the lounge wasn't working, the sink blocked, the burglar alarm not working and leaks under the sink. Not to mention a knackered fridge. The workmen used when they came round were terrible. All my shopping lost when they replaced the fridge and flat left in a mess by other workmen. They never reimbursed me for my shopping goods either. Avoid these agents at all costs

GoogleNot too bad if you are buying a house but do not put your house on for sale with these guys. They might have a low fee but there’s a reason; they don’t actually do anything remotely pro-active. They are a Call Centre and that is all, no active “salesmanship” and they couldn’t care less about you as an individual. They spend more time trying to catch people out than actually selling the property, are extremely rude and very very outdated in their practices. It’s no wonder online agents are doing so well!! Avoid at all costs and go elsewhere, pay a little more. If you want to stay with the traditional local agent, there are some new kids on the block in Knutsford and our house sold in less than 10 days after we changed agents after 3 painful months with Gascoigne Halman. Time for shake up on these old boys.

GoogleThe team at Gascoigne Halman, Holmes Chapel are excellent. Stephanie, Sarah and Kate have gone above and beyond our expectations in the sale of the property. They chased all parties to ensure the chain operated as efficiently as they could. They have often gone the extra mile to ensure others have met deadlines. They do not let their frustrations with the lack of progress by, and lack of quality of, others work to affect their own professionalism. They have proved to be honest and trustworthy throughout. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone selling a property.

GoogleRude unhelpful, paid a £1000 deposit on a new build flat in good faith. The mortgage company wouldn't lend against it. No interest in helping get the money back from the developer.
Dear Mr Thomas, I am sorry if you feel that we have been unhelpful in your recent dealings with Gascoigne Halman. The terms of the reservation are set by the developer and were fully disclosed to you upon entering into the agreement to purchase. I am sorry that we were unable to get the developer to change their terms for you, however, I do feel that help was offered several times with regards to placing you with a more suitable lender based on yours and the apartments specification. We have a fantastic team of financial advisors who could have guided you through the process and should you ever wish to use their services in the future I would be happy to help you find another suitable apartment.
