GoogleWe have just completed on the sale of our mothers bungalow. Ella Woodford Jones was brilliant. She did what any good agent should do which is keep in contact with all the parties involved in the chain as well as chase the respective solicitors. She was excellent in her communiction with us and dealt with any issues that arose. I'm a Director in a national property firm so expected a high standard of service. Ella excelled.

GoogleThe lettings team are absolutely fabulous - we received friendly, professional and helpful support throughout the whole process of renting out my own home to tenants and also finding a short term small rental for myself and my partner. Lisa and Ester were incredible and totally on the ball throughout the whole process, making every step of the way stress free. They were able to find several possible tenants to view my home - literally within the same day the rental was advertised - and kept me informed along the way. I cannot thank them enough for all their invaluable support.

GoogleGreat team and fabulous customer experience. Doug, Dev and Francis were so connected and kept me updated throughout the sale of my house in Knutsford. Their advice, care and knowledge was superb. From the moment my house went on the market they worked hard getting the right people to view and from securing my sale to exchange communication as previously was great. Completion is next week. GoogleI have recently been widowed and needed to downsize. The thought of selling my house and buying a smaller one on my own was very daunting, but Dev Tyrer-Jones in Knutsford has been very helpful and kind throughout the whole process, which has been remarkably smooth. He kept me updated at every stage of the process. He answered all my questions however basic they were. I am now looking forward to moving to my new house with confidence.

GoogleWe were shown around some retirement flats by Dev who works for Gascoigne Halman. Whilst the properties were not the right fit for my elderly mother, we were very impressed with Dev’s professionalism, kindness and patience that he showed towards my mum, who has difficulties with her mobility. She commented herself how respectful he was towards her and we really appreciated his caring approach.

GoogleWe have used Gascoigne's Glossop for both renting out our properties and selling family members' homes too, their service has always been excellent, their expertise, especially with the changes in renters/ landlords laws recently and their professionalism is outstanding alongside making the whole process easy to navigate . Communication is always prompt and clear, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to rent or sell a property. All the staff, John, Chloe, Karen and Jordan are the friendliest group, our most recent dealings have been with Chloe Walker who is all of the above, she’s amazing at keeping everything running smoothly with our rentals.

GoogleWe recently bought a property with Gascoigne Halman and they were fantastic from the word go! So professional but also personable which we found so comforting when going through the ever stressful house move. Every staff member that we dealt with at the Glossop branch was fantastic and the communication from the team was amazing which put us at ease. Karen was a delight and always there to answer any question and kept us in the loop right up until exchange day. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We have also rented a few properties using their management services. All the staff are friendly, positive and very professional. Heather, Jan and Michelle on the rental side have been super and have been so supportive. On the sales side Isla has been excellent and we have just sold a property and Nicky was unbelievable in chasing the progress of the sale to completion, and of course James in overall charge. Thanks again guys.

GoogleI recently sold my flat through Gascoigne Halman and had an excellent experience throughout what turned out to be a very complicated sale. Jo was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The transaction involved numerous delays, enquiries and last-minute issues, but she was always proactive, communicative and incredibly supportive. Whenever I was struggling to get updates elsewhere, Jo would chase matters, keep me informed and explain what was happening, which made a huge difference during a very stressful process. I'd also like to thank Rob for stepping in while Jo was on holiday and ensuring everything continued to move forward. The sale completed successfully and I genuinely don't think it would have gone as smoothly without their persistence and professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gascoigne Halman to anyone buying or selling a property. Thank you again to Jo, Rob and the team.

GoogleReally helpful staff Katie and lily, emailed me back helping my mum sort out her new rental, opened up early for me to pick up the keys, really helpful, I have taken off a star as I was told it would be cleaned before hand and the bathroom and kitchen was filthy not too sure who’s fault that was, but other than that all was great thanks

GoogleA property was advertised for £180,000. At the time of book my first viewing, I was told there had been a lot of interest but only one offer at the asking price. Based on that information, I arranged a second viewing because I was genuinely interested in the property and wanted to move forward. Following the second viewing, I submitted an offer above the asking price and was prepared to proceed with a mortgage. After making my offer, I heard absolutely nothing from the estate agent for over a week. No updates, no phone call, no email. I eventually had to chase them myself, only to be told that the vendor had accepted another offer and that they had been “going to call me back” to let me know. I then asked whether the accepted offer was higher than mine and was told it was only at the asking price. Naturally, I assumed it must have been a cash buyer, but I was then told it wasn’t. Instead, I was told the buyer had a larger deposit. This explanation made very little sense to me. I had offered above the asking price, so whether my deposit was larger or smaller should not have outweighed the fact that my offer was financially stronger. If the vendor was ultimately happy to accept an asking-price offer, it raises the question of why so many additional viewings were being arranged and why prospective buyers were encouraged to continue making offers. What frustrated me most was the complete lack of communication. The fact that I had to contact the agent myself to find out the outcome is unacceptable and not what I would expect from a so called professional estate agency! The process lacked transparency and clearly decisions were already made heading in a particular direction before all offers were fully considered!

GoogleI recently used Gascoigne Halman to rent out my property and couldn’t be happier. Regan was an absolute pleasure, patient, honest, and refreshingly not pushy. She gave me all the information I needed without any pressure, making the whole process stress-free. Sarah was equally brilliant, handling the viewings and keeping me updated every step of the way so I always knew where things stood. After struggling to find a tenant through another estate agent, Gascoigne Halman found one within a week. The difference in service was night and day. Both ladies are a real credit to the team, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
