GoogleI cannot rate James and the team at Gascoigne Halman highly enough when selling my house in West Didsbury. After my husband’s unexpected death, my daughter and I decided to sell. It was a traumatic time, but James Thornley was like a rock in a storm, he didn’t pester us, he waited for us to sort out our affairs and get back to him. That’s why we chose this firm as they didn’t pester. When we were ready to sell, they kept us updated all the time, I could ring or email and my queries were attended to straightaway. I have moved house all over GB with my husband’s career and have had some awful selling experiences in the past, but James’ calm professionalism and leadership made this move the smoothest I could wish for. Thank you, James , Andrea and the team.

Navigating the sale of our property, we encountered a prolonged and challenging process, exacerbated by a lengthy chain that made the experience incredibly stressful. However, James' exceptional dedication and professionalism shone through this period. His responsiveness was fantastic. He provided regular updates, ensuring I was always in the loop. This was especially crucial over the last 12 weeks, where my daily conversations with him became a cornerstone of the process. His patience and understanding were evident, and he consistently made an effort to return calls or update me via calls and emails. The tenacity of James and his team played an important role in keeping the chain intact. There were several occasions where the exchange was so close, yet not finalised, increasing the stress that the chain could collapse. Their perseverance and hard work were crucial in avoiding such an outcome. For anyone looking to navigate the complexities of a sale or purchase in Didsbury, I wholeheartedly recommend James and his team at Gascoigne Halman. GoogleI have been using Gascoigne Halman Didsbury for my rentals for around 7 years. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Always super efficient, often renting out my properties within 24 hours! They know legislation inside and out and regularly advise on all aspects of being a landlord. The team are extremely friendly and personable, but also very professional and knowledgable. Special mentions to Ysanne (amazing manager!) and Rebecca who are both speedy, responsive and downright good at their job. 10/10

GoogleExcellent service from the whole team, who have been friendly and attentive through what has been quite a protracted process to sell our house. Adam gave us a thorough and honest assessment and valuation at the outset, which was realised in the sale, with great advice about getting the house ready for sale. We arranged our mortgage with David, who found us a very competitive mortgage and went above and beyond in helping clarify other issues in the chain. The broker service was well worth it for us, because of being self employed and the associated financial complexities, avoiding various issues we experienced the last time we moved house. Kim & Jules have stayed on top of the details and responded promptly to queries, and organised (the many) viewings with minimum inconvenience to us. We have been very satisfied with how GH have dealt with our sale, and definitely appreciate the added value of using a traditional estate agent over an online one.

Adam, who did the initial valuation, was very honest and gave great advice regarding timescales and how to get the best possible price. From then on Kim and Jules both gave the best support with excellent communication at all times - something that is very lacking in modern service. No problem was too small for them, and we were always welcomed with a smile and genuine interest in our lives. In short, the team at Gascoigne Halman Heaton Moor went above and beyond and I would recommend to all if considering selling your house!
