GoogleI had a fantastic experience with the team here during both the sale of my old home and the purchase of my new one. John, the branch manager, was brilliant from start to finish. Professional, approachable, and always willing to help, with the ability to market my house so well it sold a day after advertising! Karen managed both the sale and purchase and was absolutely superb. Her communication was excellent, and she kept everything moving smoothly, making the process so much easier to navigate. Chloe was also friendly, helpful, and always quick to assist with any queries. Everyone I dealt with was genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell. Thank you all so much for making a stressful process feel much more manageable!

GoogleI rented my first home in the UK through Gascoigne Halman. While the initial experience was smooth, I noticed that during the checkout process, there seemed to be a stronger inclination to favour the landlord’s perspective, which made it challenging to recover the full deposit.

GoogleI recently sold my house and purchased a new one with the Glossop Gascoigne team. John couldn't have been more professional. I had a great experience and a lot of help buying and selling from himself and Karen. They answered every question I had and were always happy to do so. Behind the scenes they worked hard to get the sale and purchase over the line. I also think Gascoigne Glossop have the most accurate valuations in the area. My house sold quickly and for a good/fair price. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

GoogleAbsolute nightmare. I wanted to rent a property with these people in Cheadle Hulme and I was shown the property and I had to see the landlord too. I went through referencing which showed that I needed a guarantor. At first the landlord did not want to go ahead but finally he agreed with it as I confirmed that I could provide two guarantors and pay 12 months upfront. My guarantors went through a lot and put every detail of their income and HMRC details. The very next day the agency rang me saying one of the guarantors did not pass the affordability criterion. What I trying to say the agency did nothing to facilitate the matter. Mind you the rent was £900 a month, and I provided two guarantors who earned 30000 and 45000 annually plus me who earn 29000. I also confirmed that I could pay 12 months upfront but all the agency was saying that the landlord does not like to go ahead with someone who needs a guarantor. Well it seemed that after I found the landlord and spoke to him on Openrent he agreed with a guarantor. So they did nothing to speak to the landlord. And when it came to guarantors and sending them their links, I was told by the agency that they have sent the links to my guarantors on a Friday before the bank holiday which they did not but kept claiming that they did. After I sent them an email on the Tuesday after, they managed to send the links. And all this time, they were never ever helpful and just kept disappointing me. And the very next day they said one of my guarantors has not passed affordability. As far as I know the referencing will take more than a single day. All I am saying is that they kept dragging the process just when I needed a place to stay. Totally unhelpful

GoogleWe first spoke to Jodie (Sale Branch - Lettings) over the phone about letting our property. She offered to have a look at the property to suggest what rent is achievable along with any improvements needed to attract tenants. Jodie went above and beyond to take pictures on her non-working Saturday and listed the property the same day. The whole viewing process was seamless and happened while we were travelling. The viewing confirmation text is a great system which kept us up to date and gave an idea about the traction we were getting. Jodie kept us up to date with everything and responded to all our queries promptly. All documentation happened swiftly and online from start to finish. Fees were competitive. Jodie is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. We're pleased and satisfied with the service and would recommend her. Thank you Jodie for all the help. Regards DK

The whole process, from viewing the property to finalizing and signing the tenancy agreement, and finally collecting the keys went very smoothly. Jan was especially helpful and always responded to my emails quickly and clearly whenever I had a question. The communication was excellent throughout.

Gascoigne Halman were very proactive in contacting us and finding out how we were getting on when we started looking at houses and Jo and Kate showed us a number of properties before we made a final decision. GoogleFrom the start of our journey all the way through to the end Gascoigne Halman have been excellent. Our initial consultation was with James who offered us sound advice after taking the time to listen to us and get to know what we were looking for. We then worked with Andrea throughout the remainder of the process, and she was absolutely outstanding in her professionalism. For reasons beyond everyone's control, our process was long and complex, but Andrea was on top of things every step of the way. What we really valued most was that Andrea was always available to answer questions, regularly kept us to date, and went above and beyond on numerous occasions. We couldn't recommend James and Andrea enough for those looking to put their property on the market.

GoogleSaw a flat, with what looked like massive blood and other stains all over the carpet which had rips all over in terrible condition, asked if the carpet and other cosmetic painting and bits be done, landlord refused apparently very rude landlord so refused to sign, if landlord is this difficult at the beginning what's he going to be like when you're stuck in a contract, therfore lost my deposit 🤬

GoogleWe recently rented our home with the help of Gascoigne Halman, and the experience was exceptional. I've been a tenant for over 10 years and have dealt with various agencies, but honestly, without exaggeration, this was one of the best experiences we've had. The team was incredibly polite, friendly, and honest throughout the entire process. They documented every corner of the property in detail, and all the important checks, such as the gas safety inspection, electrical safety, EPC, etc, were completed thoroughly and on time. The tenancy agreement process was clear and comprehensive, which made everything go smoothly. We even had to request some maintenance early on, and their response was outstanding. An engineer was sent out and everything was fixed within two hours. We also absolutely love our new home, and we’re truly grateful to Gascoigne Halman for making it all happen.
