GoogleFriendly, efficient and very supportive. It's out first rental and Amy and Siobhan have been so helpful and have managed to get our house rented out very quickly and for the rent we wanted. Would definitely recommend. Just adding to this review because we've just sold the house. Frances and her team have been fantastic to work with, we couldn't have been happier with the lack of stress, thanks to the team.

GoogleAll good until the tenancy ends. I never was a tenant to create problems or miss payments and always had a open conversation with landlords, agencies. When everything ended (not because of me but because of the landlord) half of the deposit was deducted. Raised a dispute and after almost 5 months since I moved out I got my money back minus a small fee but not almost 50% of the depoait as Gascoine and Halman claimed. Greedy is a nice term to describe them. Make sure you add everything in your entry report take pictures of every single hair dust as they will use everything to claim as much as they can from your deposit.

GoogleI do not usually write reviews, but having recently sold a property through Gascoigne Halman in Lymm, I wanted to share my experience. From start to finish, everyone in the office was professional, reactive and friendly. I'd like to make a special mention for Sam, who was amazing. She was proactive and kept me in the loop every step of the way. The process took a lot longer than the average sale, due to the chain, and Sam was constantly on top of things. I would definitely recommend this agency without hesitation. Thank you to the whole team!

GoogleElla was absolutely amazing, we couldn't have asked for a better estate agent. Despite our buyers pulling out of our house 3 weeks before completion, we couldn't recommend Ella enough. She was always on it with chasing and providing updates.

In particular, I will never forget the attention and help I was given by Karen Armstrong. She was always available to explain and advise and she steered my sale-purchase through a long, frustrating time. Exceptional in every way !

GoogleProfessional, efficient and friendly service from start to finish. Lorraine was brilliant, got us on the market next day, better price point than we had thought and sold it within 2 days. Emma was fabulous at guiding us through a sale and a new purchase, she kept us updated, also helped keep us calm when we needed support and saw us all the way through to completion. I wouldn’t sell my property with anyone else. Thank you Lorraine and Emma, you were brilliant and I would highly recommend you both to anyone and GH are lucky to have such exceptional people representing them.

GoogleI had a very disappointing experience with Gascoigne Halman, particularly in how they handle tenant concerns versus landlord interests. From the very beginning of the tenancy, we raised multiple issues regarding lack of proper hot water and an inadequate boiler system. We repeatedly contacted the agency, explaining that the hot water was not functioning properly and that the system required constant manual adjustment just to get basic hot water. This not only caused inconvenience for a family with children but also significantly increased our electricity costs due to repeated heating cycles. Despite clear communication and follow-ups, no effective action was taken to resolve the issue. Now, at the end of the tenancy, instead of fairly assessing the situation, the agency has aligned entirely with the landlord and is attempting to make unreasonable deductions from our deposit, including claims that are not properly supported with evidence. It is particularly concerning that: • Longstanding maintenance issues (including hot water problems) were not addressed • Property condition issues such as EPC rating of E and lack of proper heating system • Yet, at check-out, these are being indirectly used against the tenant This gives a clear impression that the agency prioritises landlords’ interests while failing to fairly represent or support tenants, even when legitimate concerns are raised during the tenancy. I would strongly advise prospective tenants to: • Document everything • Follow up in writing • Be cautious when dealing with deposit deductions Unfortunately, this experience has shown a lack of balance, accountability, and fairness in how tenant matters are handled.

GoogleI was in the unfortunate position of selling a probate property. I was recommended to use Gascoigne Halman, Holmes Chapel and was so glad I did! Throughout the whole process, Steph, Abby and Sarah displayed utmost professionalism and were with prompt information and action. No question was deemed too silly to ask and any external concerns were dealt with good, experienced advice and reassurance. Most importantly they recognised that this move was painful & sad and the team acted with empathy and compassion. Something that is rare to find nowadays... Something I am very grateful for...

GoogleAfter nearly a year with this agency to sell our house, I can confidently say it was one of the most frustrating experiences of our lives. Their communication was consistently poor, their organisation was non-existent, and the sale fell through three times due to their apparent inability to properly vet or stay informed about buyers’ situations. On one occasion, we waited five months only for the buyer to pull out two days before contract exchange, something that could have been avoided with basic due diligence. Throughout the entire process, they offered zero proactive advice on improving our chances of selling. Their only suggestion, every single time, was to drop the price. To make matters worse, the solicitor they recommended was equally unresponsive and unprofessional, adding even more stress to an already painful process.

With every property we market we pride ourselves on exemplary service, and importantly stringent due diligence, unfortunately despite instigating significant levels of interest throughout the marketing of the property, whilst doing so with a strong ambitious strategy at the forefront, we did not successfully reach a completed sale, and of course I fully appreciate your frustration for not achieving this. As I am sure you can appreciate the efforts my team expended were considerable to achieve the best result for you, and naturally when a sale falls through so close to completion we all feel your frustration and duly acted to turn it around as quickly as possible. The latter interest that followed also did not proceed which of course is with regret, however this was due to post survey findings/ investigations and not due to a lack of due diligence. I appreciate your honest thoughts on our contact, execution of your strategy, and management and I will personally take your comments on board. In the meantime I shall be in contact directly. GoogleJo and her team at the Poynton branch were faultless when it came to our sale. Nothing was too much trouble and they are all lovely to deal with on the phone, via email and in person. I would really recommend them and if we ever chose to move again in the future Gascoign Halman would be out 1st choice.
