GoogleWe had an amazing experience with Gascoigne Halman (Altrincham Branch) when selling our home and purchasing our new property. From the very beginning, Rob (the manager) stood out as truly exceptional. His clear communication, professionalism, and depth of experience immediately gave us confidence that we were in the right hands. Our sale involved some legal complexities due to leasehold issues, but Rob and team handled everything with the right care and attention. The team were consistently attentive, kept us well informed throughout, and did an outstanding job managing both sides of the transaction to ensure things progressed as smoothly as possible. We ultimately chose Gascoigne Halam because of the reassurance we felt after speaking with Rob, and he more than lived up to that first impression. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose Gascoigne Halman’s team again for any future property transactions and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and supportive estate agency.

GoogleWe recently bought and sold our property with gascoigne in chapel and they were fantastic start to finish. Multiple things went wrong in the chain , but we had Laura helping us who was fantastic at looking into things and chasing people for updates. Nothing was ever too much trouble she went above and beyond for us. Unfortunately our solicitor was not the best communicator, but the agents really did pick up their slack! I don’t think estate agents get the credit they deserve hence the glowing review. Thank you to the whole team 💖

GoogleThe team at Chapel were fantastic, always very professional and prompt to answer any questions we had. They provided the upmost professional service throughout the process. Pete, Laura, Amy and Jodie were all brilliant. We would like to give a special mention to Laura for answering our relentless questions with care and consideration and understanding that this is a vary emotional process, she was very patient and explained the process every step of the way. GoogleThank you so much to the team at Gascoigne Halman in Didsbury for helping us sell our house. We had immediate confidence in James who came to value our house and take photos (even returning on a second occasion to take pictures of the garden on a sunnier day to show it in its best light!) Andrea supported us throughout the offers and conveyancing process, communicating with other parties in the chain and responding quickly to queries. Her calmness and experience really helped to make the process less stressful for us. We would not hesitate to recommend the team!

GoogleFriendly upfront, but dishonest. We secured a property for our small family with a 1 year old, and paid a £540 holding deposit. The agent asked for 6 months rent upfront, despite the new periodic tenancy laws coming into place and our move date being after the 1st May. We still agreed, and they send us multiple wrong invoices and were extremely forceful to clear over £16,000 immediately even though we never had a correct invoice or a contract signed. They then sneaked clauses into the contract that were different to the ones we agreed to. When we questioned it, they became very dismissive. The LANDLORD then decided to not go ahead with the let, which Sarah and Regan confirmed to me in writing. Even though they confirmed this was the LANDLORDS withdrawal, they have refused to pay the holding deposit back to us. Since then they have continuously ignored correspondence and we are now reporting them to trading standards. Very disappointed at the lack of accountability amongst the lettings team.

GoogleAbsolutely terrible experience with this letting agent. I would avoid at all costs. After the landlord withdrew an agreed offer, we were left out of pocket and still have not had our deposit returned. Communication has been poor throughout, with constant delays and little accountability. We felt completely unsupported and ignored when trying to resolve the issue fairly. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before dealing with this agency. They tried to make us pay thousands of pounds before contracts were even given out. Absolutely dreadful agency.

GoogleNot a reliable agent! The team here are forceful to close deals and do not do any due diligence on tenants or care for landlords properties. They moved tenants into our property that turned our family home into a drug den! They refused to take accountability and have stopped answering calls or responding to messages. Will be telling everyone to avoid gascoigne halman ! Do not trust this agent with your property!!!!

GoogleStole our deposit and refused to respond to correspondence. We have had to instruct lawyers to pursue this agency as they clearly are insolvent and cannot afford to keep their lights on so have to resort to stealing money from people. We will be applying for a winding up petition against gascoigne halman and will be reporting Sarah to the property ombudsman. Like the most recent reviews on here. I’d advise to avoid!

GoogleHaving recently sold my relative’s property, Gascoigne’s continually provided professional advice and friendly communication throughout. The final leg of completion took longer than expected due to a bereavement, but the patience and understanding offered by Sam and the lovely ladies within the team in Lymm was much appreciated.

Googlejust Google rogue landlord 'beckhall properties' and you will see the type of people Gascoigne Halman work for. trying to charge me £40 to defrost a freezer and charging £300 for plastering despite no damage being done. throughout my tenancy the landlord wasnt responsive, it took them 2 months to fix a shower and a cooker. when I moved in there was mould everywhere. It's single glazing and had no heating throughout last winter. never had such a rude letting agency before. disgrace.
