I genuinely think we would end up homeless if it weren't for Sarah. The property we rented was going on the market and we needed to be out within a couple months. Unavoidably and unwillingly we started viewing houses, and we viewed a lot of houses engaging with nearly every 'big' lettings agent in town. In a nutshell, we got the one who did not give a toss to show us around properly, or introduce themselves, the one who rearranged our appointment a couple of times to then leave us waiting about 20 minutes out in the cold until they finished a chit chat with the previous viewers, the one who had no knowledge of the property we were being shown, and the odd couple who were pleasant but not really engaged. Sarah was there from beginning to end and her job wasn't to score with us but to literally find the perfect property for us. She checked in, was honest, and knew what we wanted. She was a friend, in the whole process. Everything we had to do after was ever so prompt and easy, and everyone we had to speak with, were all really attentive as well.

I have bought and sold through Charters in Alton on a few occasions now, they are extremely personable and go the extra mile to provide an exemplary service - they make the effort to understand what I want when I am looking to purchase, and again when selling they have never let me down, they have amazingly sold more than one property for me immediately to the first person who has viewed. (This backs up that they do not waste peoples time, they get to understand what you are looking for and match you to a property - this is only achievable when you are an expert in your job!). Charters Alton are totally friendly, professional and informative with a nothing is too much trouble approach - this has been proven by Sarah, Jane, Toby and not forgetting Lisa who is part of the progression team. I would only ever go to Charters as first port of call when it comes to selling my property. Well done on completing the sale and purchase for me, fabulous as always, and once again you never let me down!

Very disappointing and frustrating experience. Communication has been extremely poor, responses are slow, and every time a different staff member replies, so we constantly have to repeat the same information. Before signing the tenancy, we were clearly given written confirmation that curtains would be installed in one of the rooms. We relied on this when making our decision to rent the property. However, two months after moving in, nothing has been done, and we have now been told that the landlord will not provide them at all. Even more concerning, we were then told that if we want curtains, we should arrange and pay for them ourselves, despite this being something that was originally promised to be provided. This creates a serious lack of trust, as commitments made before signing were not honoured afterwards. We are currently living with large uncovered windows and no privacy, which is unacceptable. Overall, the service has been unreliable and unprofessional. I would not recommend using this agency.

We recently viewed a property being sold by Charters which we loved and immediatly put an offer on, which was accepted. We are very grateful that Jorgia Tye from the Chandlers Ford branch contacted us about this property at the earliest opportunity, even before it was on Charters platform, arranged a viewing and showed us round. She was personable, friendly and very helpful, allowing us plenty of time to look around and showed a good knowledge of the local market. She contacted us again after our offer was accepted in teh face of stiff compeitition and seemed genuinely delighted for us that we had been successful.
