Do not be fooled by the online prices. Yes, the prices advertised are correct. What they don't mention is the extra array of hidden charges that they'll bombard you with when you turn up at the desk to confirm booking. Make no mistake customer service from most of the staff working at desk both in person and over the phone are fantastic. However, i had a shock of my life when i turned up to confirm my booking. Expecting to pay just over £8 per week for 8 weeks for a 15sq room (half price promo), I was asked to pay £50 insurance, a deposit and the full 8 weeks sum in advance totalling just over £140. How £8 weekly charge turned over £17 baffled me. I was able to lower the insurance and took the minimum insurance of £3 per week. However be aware you will not be able to use storage without insurance. On the other hand, they do pay your deposit back too. What shocks me is that a company of this size keep these costs hidden until the very end. So unless you have previous experience with storage, you won't have a clue. Ended up paying way in excess of what I budgeted. Very disappointing. Finally, there is a guy called ayub working in front desk who insists you review and give him 10/10 in everything "without reading the questions,". He even requested if I could "do the review now" referring to the email review they send. You are about 2/10 ayub and that's being generous. I'll mention that on the review itself that was sent to me. Speaking to your friend holding the lift door open while customers are waiting to go up for mins and insisting you are given a 10/10 without reading qurstions is bizarre.

Awsome storage. The room is pretty big for what you're paying. I chose the smallest room and it was a lot bigger than expected. The staff is awsome, very friendly and just generally nice people. Khai (I believe that's the name) took care of my check-in and he was amazing, took care of everything and even helped me find a closer room than what I had booked, he really put my convenience first. Definitely recommend here.

Big yellow Self Storage staff at Bow were very helpful amidst the Covid situation. They have adopted security measures for their staff and customers. Mike attended me and he sorted out the contract, and a problem they have with the alarms in the unit originally offered to me. The unit I got was next to it, and it only took a few more minutes to check-in due to the unexpected problem. He was friendly and clear on giving me any information I requested. Thank you

Big Yellow Bow is without doubt one of the best storage facilities in London, but what sets it apart are the staff. Chris who runs the place in particular couldn't be more accommodating and helpful. We run a fast growing business and the flexibility he's shown has helped us take on business we'd otherwise have struggled to cope with.

Staff are great and access is brilliant. They are staying open during gov lockdown as they store medical supplies in some of the containers so big shout out to their employees! Will definitely store items with them again if I need. Staff are so lovely I was really impressed :)

The storage itself is fine - you get what you pay for. My problem was the staff and management. I rang them up during my final week of storage to ask whether I could have extra hours access on my checkout day since I wasn't sure I'd be done by closing time. The person I spoke to said this wouldn't be a problem and informed me it costs £5 and I'd just need to call back the day before my check out day to get this booked, and the £5 would be taken from my deposit. I did so, and the lady I spoke to said to make sure I empty my room when I'm done and remove my lock and they'll process my account and deposit the following morning. The following morning, I get a call from Big Yellow Storage asking when I would be checking out. Completely confused, I explained I had checked out the day before as I had communicated to the two people I had spoken to the week before. I then got a credit note email informing me I was only due to get half my deposit back. I called back and they said they had to charge three days extra due to my late check out on Monday. Even more confused, I explained I had checked out on Sunday (which was the day before) and I had asked for extra hours access, and was told this would be £5 and to make sure everything was cleared when I finished on Sunday. I soon realised the guy who did my check in had given me Sunday as my check out, thought it was Saturday - which I can accept as my fault because I should have double checked the paperwork. But at most I could accept being charged for that one extra day from Saturday to Sunday - not three, from Saturday to Monday including both days! How does that even make sense? I asked to speak to the manager and she was not bothered by any of the unfair and incorrect information I had been given. I've dealt with my fair share of crooks over the years, but this was shocking! I will never store my things with Big Yellow again!!

Easy access to clean, well-kept storage. We've been here a few months and BigYellow has served our needs well. Chris, a manager, was a great help in looking at a flexible fit when we needed to extend our requirements, and has always been very easy to communicate with, along with the rest of the staff. Quick to reply to emails, etc.

A fantastic experience from start to finish! Poppy couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly throughout - from advising on packing materials, to guiding me through how a remote removal would work. It was very straightforward and the storage spaces are great - super clean and secure!

Khai was very helpful and polite. He gave me an upgrade without extra charge. He was helpful, showed me how to use the security door, answered all my questions. The young lady who was there yesterday was also nice and helpful with my queries. Received a great service from them.

I have been using this storage for nearly 20 years and would definitely recommend it. Staff are very friendly, helpful and generous with their time and assistance. I personally use the out-of-hours service and have never had any problems with access. With the alarmed doors and installed sprinkler system you get peace of mind. Have never had reason to look anywhere else. During this pandemic they have been particularly helpful which has prompted me to add this review. Thanks, Big Yellow Bow!

I stored my belongings here while I was trying to sell my property. The sign up process was quick and easy and the instructions for the use of the room were clear. The prices are great with 50% off the first two months which is very much appreciated. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. In particular Poppy and Chris made my whole experience a very pleasant one. The check out process was equally as straightforward. I would highly recommend Bow Big Yellow and I would definitely use them again.
