GoogleYesterday was the third time that I used big yellow storage facilities in Cambridge. I have always received exceptional service from the staff members but yesterday (11.12.2025) there was a lady on duty late afternoon when I came to drop off my stuff(I forgot her name). She was incredibly helpful, patient and understanding . She went above and beyond to make sure that I got the best deal out of my storage options. I had also booked at 100sqm room only to get there and realise that the room was too big and needed a 75sqm one. She downgraded me to the right size one without any issues. I will never forget her kindness and how she helped me.

GoogleEverything is VERY well organised!
The place is just behind Lidl: be careful because Google maps will either send you to a different storage company or will mess up the directions in the last mile!
The staff is very helpful and will help you choose the volume you need.
I certainly recommend Big Yellow Self Storage.
The only limit is that it closes quite early in the afternoon (especially during weekend).

The team there was incredibly helpful and kind, making what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and smooth. I stored my items on June 7, 2025, just before closing time, and the supervisor on duty was especially supportive, even though I unfortunately didn’t catch their name. I truly appreciated the team’s professionalism and willingness to help at the end of the day. Highly recommended.

From the initial inquiry, and after being let down by another new storage company (cinch), they have been outstandingly friendly, professional, and helpful. JOSH is amazing, Matt is awesome, and David has also been wonderful. Literally - whatever you're paying these guys @bigyellow - they deserve more! Truly a credit to your company and a fine example of how customers service should be done. You were even more expensive than a local competitor and I paid extra because these guys were so nice.

GoogleAfter experiencing a problem with my zipcar, I arrived later than the instructed latest time for first my first check-in. However, Josh at the reception was super welcoming when I arrived and went through the process swiftly whilst covering all the necessary steps in the correct manner. He knew what he was doing, didn’t complain at all about my late arrival and offered the best service possible with a big smile. He ended up staying late for almost 20 min due to my late arrival but never the his smile in his face and was helpful all the way till the end. Attached is a photo of my 15 ft^2 room. Rarely car park is overcrowded.
Trolleys are available and on the place, possibly though related to working hours.
1st floor's corridors got enough room for trolley to pass.
Inside temperature, air is good, without odours, so belonging doesn't have smell.
Price is might not cheapest, but affordable. Though have to mention, after I've started to rent storage, the price went up... 😊
